Not a fancy place but clean, exceptionally level, well managed and has a view to die for. The owner is on site and is one of the best you will find. Rest rooms are older but clean. Could use a bit more privacy for shower stalls but the pluses of the park outweigh any small negatives. No better place in B.V. and we will be back. Extended our stay because we enjoyed the area so much.
This park is nice but the rating is for the "location" right next to Blanco River and in the forested mountains outside of Pagosa Springs. Close to some great hikes. Lots of old blue spruce trees backed up against the mountain slope. Nice facilities kept spotless and a hot tub to soak away the aches from hiking & tubing. Staff (the owners) are the best you will find! We will be back frequently.
Good location for the area and right off Interstate. Not fancy, but a couple of brothers working hard to make a go of things. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Park is sparse and has few trees. Fairly level with good hook ups. Close to Shiner and it's world class brewery, but not much else around.
The only good thing about this park was the sites were fairly level and the staff was friendly. It is in need of some serious repair and updating and the rest rooms were worse than most outhouses. They claimed to be updating them soon but they looked like they were condemned long ago. Not worth the stop until some improvements have been made. Several nicer looking spots up I-25 towards Albuquerque.
This was a sad stop. Nice folk but a park in bad need of repairs and updating. Rest rooms were clean but horribly outdated and in need of repair. Neither myself nor my spouse would use the showers. Ants all over the place and a bad gas smell throughout the campground. We will choose another of the several campgrounds not far from Post next time out.
Not a very attractive park and the restrooms were not attended to on a regular basis. You had a key but the doors were hardly ever closed so what good was it? The worst part was a $10 key deposit required for the rest room key and you could not get it back until the office opened in the mornings, which was late, not early. So forget about an early departure unless you want to forgo the $10 deposit you made. Will look for another choice in future visits.
This is a big park with lots of amenities and close to Lake Monroe. We were excited because it was a 5 Star rated park by Woodalls. Not even close. Restrooms were not maintained for at least 2 days at a time during our week stay and showers were only done about once a day. Not enough for such a big park. Wi-Fi was very spotty and this has been an ongoing problem there for years. Out in the country, about 12 miles from Bloomington. Staff is very friendly and helpful, just not as attentive to the restrooms as they should be. Were told no problems due to the floods but when we arrived, lake access was very limited. Would appreciate more honesty from the staff as it may not have caused us to change destinations but left a bad taste anyway. Not a bad park at all, just not what it is built up to be.
Difficult to find and no one around to pay or check in with. Small park back in the trees off the highway. Well maintained and restrooms serviced regularly. Bright lights on at night and sites not that level in most spots. Not a bad spot but lacking because of no one being on site. Several miles from town as well.
Very nice park in the woods. Feels much like a State Park. Two pools, one for kids and one for adults. Restrooms are older but clean and in good repair. Some minor leveling problems. A bit far out from Tyler but worth the drive. Very peaceful and resting stay.
Two young guys working very hard to make this a top park and succeeding. Very convenient to the Interstate and not noisy as one might expect. Rest rooms are well attended to, level sites throughout and a good spot to spend the night.
