Rate reflects a special rally rate. We camped here as part of a organized rally, which has been done for four previous year. This park is the closest to the downtown area of Jacksonville. It is a well operated park, very friendly and a pleasure at which to stay. Previous comments about the closeness of some sites in the older (north side) of the park. Our rally was on the south side of the lake, which is nearer to I-95. All sites are pull through, level gravel. Full services plus TV cable and good free WiFi is available. We have already booked next year's rally at this park.
A smaller owner operated rv park. Interior roads and sites gravel. Only took minor adjustments to level rig. Easy to setup satellite dish, however some sites may have tree obstruction. Management very friendly and helpful. Small but very nice laundry facilities. Close to I-95 but far enough away to be quiet. Great dog walk through woods and around abandoned housing project, lots of paved streets no houses so easy walking. Pool is well maintained and inviting, except for air temperature. First visit but will return when in this area. Rate represents RPI membership rate.
There may be some confusion in which park this represents. It is on the north side of I-40 behind a Motel 6. There is a excellent Mexican restaurant in the office complex. My overall rating represents the poor maintenance in this park. It does have concrete slabs in all sites and concrete roads. The far right row of sites have full hookup with 30amp power. We have stayed at this park more often than any other in our 12 years on the road. Main reason is location from home (easy long day of travel), plus the Mexican restaurant. Good for overnight, but would not want to stay much longer at a time. We will definitely stay here in the future for the reasons noted. Point of interest: don't try the RV park on the south side of I-44. It also is behind a motel. We stayed there once and were concerned we wouldn't be able to get out, due to the poor roads.
Low rate due to RPI membership. This park accepts quite a few membership type of cards. Originally a KOA park. No provisions for sale in office. Limited activities for long term tenants. Very enjoyable Miniature Golf facility. During pecan growing season, a great place to pick pecans from the ground. We have stayed here several other times, and are very satisfied with this park. Would recommend to anyone.
This campground accurately represents it's name. This is a new RV park, well kept with everything at the site working. Sites are level gravel. Interior roads are also level and gravel. Stayed three nights. Outstanding feature for us was the dog walk. It goes all around the lake with level paths. There is also a small dog park. This is a pet friendly and human friendly park. Will stay here in the future.
Old KOA RV park. Recent efforts have cleaned up the park considerably. We have stayed here during the past three years. Have seen the river flood the lower elevated sites during hurricane Ivan. No amenities but with the lack of RV parks on the west side of Atlanta this place will do. Good water pressure, only needed 30 amp power, sewer works fine. Staff very friendly but only there part of each day, time is posted. Nothing in way of supplies in office. Will stay there again in the future.
