Nice level sites that were reasonably wide. Friendly staff and centrally located. We had RV issues and they provided us with names of mobile repair services-none of which returned our calls. We were there in September and shows were very limited. Maybe there are more over the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas).
Have stayed here several times over last couple of years, but won't go back. Took our grandson for his first camping trip without Mom and Dad this weekend. They wouldn't give us the Good Sam discount because I didn't have the card, even though I pulled it up on my IPAD and they could see we were current. Then it rained all weekend (yes I know the resort can't control that). Then we found that arcade game area is gone and indoor pool is adults only (over 18) for sanitary reasons (I guess adults never pee in a pool) - except in winter when kids are allowed. Then we developed a horrible ant problem in the RV which I read on TA is not uncommon. This is not an adult only campground but it seems like it’s trying to be one. Heard it’s up for sale. Canceling our 5 nights there over New Years.
Stayed here several times and have always had fun. The grand kids join us and have a ball. Sites are of a nice size and reasonably level. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We gave it an 8 because it is sometimes difficult to get the site we request, though they try hard to accommodate us. They are pet friendly. This is a great place for kids to learn about the fun of camping. They sometimes have weekend pancake breakfasts, weekend hayrides which the kids and adults all enjoy. They also have arts and crafts. Their website lists most of the available activities. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Rafting/tubing and Canyon Lake are a short ride away for lots of summer fun. Much quieter off season. Indoor and outdoor pools and big outdoor jumping/trampoline at no extra charge.
We were there with our 30 ft Motorhome for the Mudder races. The campground was full. But ti was quiet and VERY clean, especially the bathrooms. Dumpsters, even with a full campground were not overflowing. Best campground we've stayed at in Texas. Too bad its not near an interstate. Skies were dark enough at night to see the milky way!
