Very clean campground, nice sites, very clean bathrooms too. There is a small pond, w/ 2 slides, small laundry, game room, clean newer playground. We enjoyed campging here, my only negative is A LOT of rules and STRICTLY enforced. When we asked if our dog could swim in the pond, we were told yes, but only if he had a leash on, which unfortunate for us I guess is too dangerous for the animal. Our boys were yelled at for not having a life vest on at the slide in the pond, which I understand being spoke too, but not clearly yelled at, and it is posted swim at your own risk. All in all, it is a very nice campground, I just have a problem with the strict rules and being yelled at and not just spoken too.
From the moment we arrived the campground staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The escort to our site is a nice feature especially with a big rig and a first time visit to this area. Very pet friendly. Clean pool. The kids loved the outdoor, night time movie. Very clean campground too.
Friendly staff, clean (although didn't use the bathrooms) seasonal campers were friendly too, we didn't feel like an outsider weekend only camping. It was Easter weekend while we were there, plenty of kid activities. They had a huge water/slip and slide set up into the pond on Saturday afternoon that my boys loved. The only negative comment is with the dry weather and people not driving 5 mph the roads were very dusty as expected.
I would like to give them a better review but can not. Made reservations early in 2010, requested to be with 2 other campers, not one of us were together. Called twice and asked if we could be moved closer they said yes. When we arrived, our site was double booked and we had to move FURTHER away. We were put on a small site with a fifth wheel and 2 slides although a lot of sites around us were much, much bigger. Staff was not very friendly. We were yelled at for having our dog off the lead, yet we were not given any rules. Probably will not camp here again.
Upon arrival staff (family owned) were very friendly and helpful. They had A seasonal person park the camper for us. Has a great playground for the kids, clean swimming pool. (I watched them clean it every morning from my site.) We did walk to the lake: it is not a swimming area, nor clean, but fine for a person looking to use it for small boats and fishing. Our one and only complaint is the sites are very close, too close for our preference. We did camp with family, but if not we would have not been able to use our own fireplace. There was just not enough room for our rig with 2 slides. We walked the campground in hopes of finding another site to be able to visit at a later time, but they all seem to be this way. Its to bad as it is an easy weekend getaway that's close by. The sites for tents and tent campers seemed fine though, just not very big rig friendly.
We camped here with a large amount of families mostly in the same grassy area. Campground was clean, recycle area was very clean. Plenty for the kids to do while we were here. Tubes available for rent, which we did, although it seems like they would prefer you not to take them outside the campground, which was fine. They did come around at night and remind us of the quiet hours more than once, but as I stated we were a large amount of families together. Park grounds are well taken care of. We will visit here again, even though they do not allow dogs, only for people who are seasonals. They still use paper and pencil and no answering machine, so to make our reservations took some time, but staff was all friendly and professional.
Everyone we dealt with at this campground was very friendly and professional. It was a very easy checking, and the staging area upon entrance was well laid out. Sites were clean, level, well kept. We used the pool several days, again very clean. The rules seemed the same as most private campgrounds we have visited. Sites were a little closer than we prefer but much to our surprise did not have campers on either side of us Sunday through Thursday, campground was full on the both weekends we were here. Everything from fuel to groceries were close by, Hershey is about 10 miles away. We would camp there again if we were in the area.
