We live fairly close and visited here for a test run of our new unit. Office staff very friendly and efficient. Camp store was being stocked as this was the first weekend they were open and appeared to have a nice variety. Interior roads leave alot to be desired and need work. Site was a nice size pull thru. Bathrooms old but clean. Nice playground. It served the purpose for us and is a good overnight stop. Would probally have rated higher if the overall appearance was more pleasing.
I would have liked to rate this campground higher because it does have many good points. However we have repeatedly had problems reserving multiple sites here. They have been unable to be accommodating several times despite making reservations a month in advance and being told at the time of the reservation that we would be able to have sites near one another. Staff needs to remember that there may be other issues involved other than just wanting to have campsites close to one another such as medical concerns. So despite this being a nice place to stay we will not return as there are so many campgrounds that go above and beyond to be helpful. I will miss the pizza as it is really good and convenient.
We love this campground and stay as often as we can. We stay in the deluxe sites and feel they are well worth the small extra fee. During this stay it rained the entire stay but with the gravel sites you have absolutely no mud or mess. Also due to the sites being wooded we felt very protected from the elements. Staff was wonderful as well as helpful but this has always been the case here. We have never had problem here from the moment we arrive until we depart. We already have our next reservation made.
New campground in it's third season and a work still in progress. They hope to put a pool in next year and did have a makeshift waterslide while we stayed there. They also offered activities and have a great fishing lake. Sites are nice sized and fairly level with very easy access. Large check-in area and wide entrance made it very easy to enter. Beautifully maintained property but also very open. Extremely quiet and peaceful despite rock quarry being nearby. Owners and staff are wonderful and very accommodating from phone reservation until we departed. We loved this place and we will definitely camp here many times.
We were very disappointed in this highly rated campground according to trailer life. It was very noisy with announcements being made over a loud speaker starting at 10 am. Site was not level and hard to enter. We had a backin but had to pull-thru a vacant site due to the roads being very narrow. We were certainly not the only ones who had the same problem. Even the popup behind us hard a hard time. It was a weekend and the place was packed. Sites were wide enough but backins were way to close for any privacy as we were in a row that had other sites directly behind. There are a lot of activities and kids would have a great time. The store was well stocked with everything you would need. Pools nice but again way to crowded. We also thought it was too expensive. We had friends over to visit for a short while in the evening and the charge was $ 10 each person. We thought this was a little excessive. I doubt we will go back.
We loved this campground and only stayed for one night each way as we were passing through the area. We had a long pull-thru which was perfectly level and easy to enter and exit. Staff was very friendly. You have to eat here as the food is very good and fairly priced with good sized portions. Would have loved to have stayed longer. We agree the only thing lacking is a fishing pond, but everything else makes up for it and they deserve the rating. Grounds were immaculate and well cared for. One of the best koa's we have ever stayed at and we are gold card members so we have been to many. We will make it a point to go back to stay again.
Overall we liked the campground. The rest rooms located next to the office were much nicer than the ones located near the middle of the campground. The interior roads need some work. There is a lot of updating being done and new sites being added leaving existing sites appearing to be neglected. We had a big rig pull-through and it was perfectly level and the width was adequate. The lake has great fishing and the pool area is beautiful. We would camp here again.
On-site owners are wonderful and extremely accommodating. sites are long with a nice width and most importantly level. rest rooms/bath house is immaculate and one of the cleanest i have ever seen. campground is convenient to highway and well marked for directions. very quiet and peaceful. will stay here everytime we are in the area!
this campground to us is what all campgrounds should aspire to be. the owners are wonderful and will go above and beyond to be of service to all campers regardless of what type of camping they are enjoying. their staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. if they don't have the answer (which is unusual) they will find the info you need. we have stayed in a number of site over the years and have always been pleased. wooded level sites which provide the perfect atmosphere and a multitude of activities for all ages. campers come first in this campground.
This was not our first stay and will not be our last. We love the attention from the the owners who couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The grounds are very well kept. The fishing in the small lake is fantastic! The rest rooms are older but very clean. They have a adequate selection in the store. The sites are well maintained. You are escorted to your site and directed perfectly. The highway is close so you do have the noise but it didn't affect the overall pleasantness of our stay.
New owners are making noticable difference. We stayed on a weekend and they had some great activities scheduled. You couldn't beat the free pancake breakfast on Sunday. Some sites still need work but as we understand it improvements are continuing. We were very pleased to see new full hookups that have just been added. We will be back.
