This is truly one of the very best campgrounds we've ever used. Immaculate bathrooms, beautiful scenery, very friendly campground staff and volunteers and the perfect location to explore the Tucson area.

What a beautiful campground! This is truly one of the best we've ever experienced. Most sites are quite private being surrounded by shrubs and trees. Some sites are difficult to back into with a travel trailer. The shower and restroom facilities are very clean. This area provides stands of old growth redwoods with excellent hiking and walking trails, and, of course, you have the elk in the meadows.

This park is quite shabby. Lots of permanently parked RV's in weedy sites. The restrooms were not cleaned once during our five night stay. Most of the sites are very tight. A plus: The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll stay elsewhere next time we visit the area.

This is a great home base for taking in the sights in Central Oregon. Typical of Oregon, the campground is very clean and efficient. The sites are large and open. The only drawback is a lack of disposal areas within the campground. You have to haul your garbage and recycles to a site on the way out.

This is a beautiful park! The lower-level sites right on the McKenzie River are great! Our trailer is 24' long, and we would have found it difficult to get into some sites. Site 16 is especially lovely as it is at the confluence of Olallie Creek and the McKenzie River. We found it easy to back our trailer into this site. We would make a point to staying here again--such a peaceful place.

Really pretty campground with good access to the beach. I would have given it a "10" except the noise from Hwy 101 is irritating with logging trucks passing by just across the creek along the edge of the campground.

What a beautiful campground! Private spaces on the perimeter with lawn area under shade trees and a view out to the mountains and the valley - perfect. Too bad the restrooms and showers are not kept clean. Must have been a week's worth of paper in the trash container in the restroom, and bits of toilet paper stuck to the floor. There are two sets of hosts on site for a rather small campground so I would expect the restrooms cleaned more frequently.

After reading prior reviews, this RV park was extremely disappointing. They lost our reservation though we really didn't need one as there was only one other trailer in the park other than those that are left on a more permanent basis. The river-side sites are for tent-camping and most of the sites closest to the river are taken by trailers left long-term. The place really needs some TLC though the restrooms and showers were clean. There is a lot of debris (cigarette butts, downed limbs, trash) around the sites. The young woman who checked us in was friendly, but not at all efficient. She forgot to give us the bathroom code or the key to the dock. We won't be back.

As other reviewers stated, this is a very clean, well maintained RV park. Being immediately next to Hwy 101 is a problem due to the noise generated by big trucks as they leave the highway via the off-ramp next to the park. Good for an overnight.

First, a word of caution about this campground: It is located 9 miles out on a very windy, narrow road. We were challenged by this road when pulling our 24' TT. That being said, this is a beautiful campground with spacious sites that are very private. The restroom and shower facilities are immaculate. The campground is located on rolling hills dotted with old oaks. The amazing thing about this place is you are 30 minutes from teeming San Jose and environs. We stayed here while exploring San Jose, Saratoga, Stanford Campus and Filoli Gardens. To return to our campsite after negotiating the freeways was wonderful, relaxing and invigorating. If you stay during the warm summer months, try to get a shaded site as it could get pretty hot back in this valley. We had #6 and were well pleased with this site.

This campground has a few sites for short-term camping, but most of the sites are used by permanent residents. This was a distraction from the "camping" experience we enjoy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean. The restroom and laundry room are a bit shabby. The restroom and shower area are not heated. Most of the campsites do not afford any privacy. We will likely stay elsewhere the next time we visit this area.

This is a lovely campground located on the Gualala River. The pros: The redwoods and the river location; for the most part, large sites; very well kept campsites; near golf, town of Gualala. The cons: Water & electric hookups are not conveniently located; the restroom/shower facility needs to be updated; river sites with "unauthorized trails" to the river cause people to walk through campsites.

We had an RV site that was quite large and somewhat private. From the back of the site you can look down on the south fork of the American River and watch the river rafts go by: great fun. The people who run this park are very friendly and helpful. The sites are clean and large. When reserving for summer months, be sure to ask for a site with shade! We will certainly return to this park in the future.

Nice location, but the river is rather inconsequential since there's a berm or levy between the lower sites and the river. We were disappointed to find a few of the sites occupied by utility trailers or stored RVs lending a bit of a funky vibe to the place. Also, the women's shower room lacks privacy with one open dressing area serving the two showers. Since there are few choices for RV parks in the area, we likely will stay here again when visiting the area. Best sites are the lower ones along the river side of the campground.
