As other reviewers stated, this is a very clean, well maintained RV park. Being immediately next to Hwy 101 is a problem due to the noise generated by big trucks as they leave the highway via the off-ramp next to the park. Good for an overnight.

First, a word of caution about this campground: It is located 9 miles out on a very windy, narrow road. We were challenged by this road when pulling our 24' TT. That being said, this is a beautiful campground with spacious sites that are very private. The restroom and shower facilities are immaculate. The campground is located on rolling hills dotted with old oaks. The amazing thing about this place is you are 30 minutes from teeming San Jose and environs. We stayed here while exploring San Jose, Saratoga, Stanford Campus and Filoli Gardens. To return to our campsite after negotiating the freeways was wonderful, relaxing and invigorating. If you stay during the warm summer months, try to get a shaded site as it could get pretty hot back in this valley. We had #6 and were well pleased with this site.

This campground has a few sites for short-term camping, but most of the sites are used by permanent residents. This was a distraction from the "camping" experience we enjoy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean. The restroom and laundry room are a bit shabby. The restroom and shower area are not heated. Most of the campsites do not afford any privacy. We will likely stay elsewhere the next time we visit this area.

This is a lovely campground located on the Gualala River. The pros: The redwoods and the river location; for the most part, large sites; very well kept campsites; near golf, town of Gualala. The cons: Water & electric hookups are not conveniently located; the restroom/shower facility needs to be updated; river sites with "unauthorized trails" to the river cause people to walk through campsites.

We had an RV site that was quite large and somewhat private. From the back of the site you can look down on the south fork of the American River and watch the river rafts go by: great fun. The people who run this park are very friendly and helpful. The sites are clean and large. When reserving for summer months, be sure to ask for a site with shade! We will certainly return to this park in the future.

Nice location, but the river is rather inconsequential since there's a berm or levy between the lower sites and the river. We were disappointed to find a few of the sites occupied by utility trailers or stored RVs lending a bit of a funky vibe to the place. Also, the women's shower room lacks privacy with one open dressing area serving the two showers. Since there are few choices for RV parks in the area, we likely will stay here again when visiting the area. Best sites are the lower ones along the river side of the campground.
