Park is pricey, (price includes tax). They charge an additional $5/night for each pet. I called ahead for reservations, and was told just come on in (arriving the following day), they had plenty of spaces available. When I arrived, and requested a 50 amp space, it seems they had limited space. I did get a space, but was told I had to move if I stayed more than 2 days. Fifty amp spaces have large pine trees, 30 amp spaces are just a big parking lot. They do have a lot of amenities, pool, spa etc. Tourist area, so they know you come here expecting to spend money, and they do all they can to meet your expectations.
Roomy spaces, park is all gravel. Upper parking is pretty level, lower area, (nearest the water) slopes, and you probably need blocks when leveling. Very friendly people, great area. I have 3 dogs and it was great to be able to take them away from campground, near the lake, and turn them loose to run. Trout are stocked in the lake and neighboring creeks. Great fishing. Will return here next year.
Pictures on the web site do not show how "tight" this park is. It is more a parking lot than an RV park. Our unit is 39' and we barely fit into a space. Couldn't put our awning out because the neighboring rig is too close. The dog park is little more than a 30 by 6 feet. sand pit. Would not return to this park, ever!
Very nice park, people, and pet friendly. Facility very clean and well maintained. Wide spaces. Our back in was 70 feet long. Extended our stay. Casino with a very good restaurant is just a short walk from the park. It is no longer owned by Terrible Herbst company. Will return here in the spring.
