Great park and fairly new. Rate is weekly. We loved it here and so did our dog. Nice areas to walk the dog and they even supply "waste" bags and disposal cans. Clean park, all roads and sites are paved so there's no dust or dirt to track or blow in. Trash pickup at site daily. Lots of green areas. Trees are not big enough yet to give you much shade but that'll change as the park matures. Excellent water pressure. Only complaint was with the showers. There was no place to put clean clothes when taking a shower. The dressing area was void of a bench or chair but it looked like they existed at one time and had been ripped off the walls. Had to lay clean clothes and towel on the floor or hang 'em over the door. Probably just a maintenance issue that hadn't been addressed yet. We were very happy here for 3 weeks and will definitely stay here again. Nice pool and hot tub going in while we were here so that will be another plus later this summer. Several good restaurants at the Casino along with free breakfast buffet Wednesday & Thursday mornings for 55+ folks. This sure beats the alternative park a mile or two down the road.

Rate reflects monthly rate. This is the third - AND LAST - time we've stayed here. Never again. Nasty park manager. Grass was 2 feet tall around the picnic table on our and several other sites. If someone stays here for any length of time, no one bothers to mow their grass. They charge extra for 50 amp. There are horrible grass burrs in every patch of grass - definitely NOT PET FRIENDLY. Those burrs are nasty buggers! And those burrs have been there for at least 4 years. Laundry room dryer took my money but didn't dry the clothes and when I went to the office to get my money back, was told they don't own the machines and do not refund money! Have never heard of a park offering laundry facilities and not refunding money if a machine is broken. Was told by office clerk if I didn't like it, I could leave and go somewhere else which is exactly what we did. We will NEVER come back here again, given the fact that there is an absolutely beautiful and well-maintained RV park at the casino a couple miles down the road with comparable prices, very clean, nice amenities and helpful and friendly staff. And the dog loves it 'cause there's no grass burrs!

This is our second stay at Edgington RV Park. Rate reflects Passport America rate which was good for our entire stay, not just a day or two. We were here for some out-patient back surgery hubby was having at the local hospital. While this park isn't the Ritz, it's clean, secure, and all utilities worked fine. Road noise was not bad given the fact it sits right on 70/54. Management lives on site and patrols the park to make sure things are as they should be. A previous reviewer complained because he had to pay for electric used over the 20kwh per day allowed. We have a large 50 amp motorhome, ran 2 A/C units and a humidifier day and night, cooked all meals in the microwave, had electric hot water heat on all the time, had the TV on most of the time, and stayed 4 days. We only spent $2.55 extra for electric. That certainly wasn't excessive in my book. We will definitely stay here whenever we're in or around the Alamogordo area. Besides, the owner/manager is a really great guy and will bend over backward to make sure you're happy. He even stopped by a couple of times to inquire how hubby was doing after his procedure and to ask if there was anything he could do for us.

We LOVE this place! This is the second time in two years we've visited this park and it just gets better every time. Extremely nice and friendly owners/operators. Coco, the chocolate lab, greets you when you arrive. Has beautiful surroundings, long, level pull-through or back in sites with enough nice grassy space between sites that you don't feel like you're sitting on top of your neighbors. Each site has a nice picnic table and fire ring/grill. Quiet, beautiful views, no highway noise. Ice cream social every night. One RV'er in the park makes homemade hot fudge sauce for the ice cream! This park is a combination horse camp and RV park and they co-exist beautifully. Most of the time you don't even know there are horses around unless you walk to the ends of the park looking for the corrals. Very well kept campground. We will definitely stay here whenever we're in SD. Rate reflects Passport America discount and 50 amp electric service.

Great place, nice people in the office. They went out of their way to find information for us on the place and times where we could get our SD driver's licenses renewed since the office in Spearfish was not open. We had a choice of sites and we were escorted via golf cart to see all the available sites. Pretty surroundings. Got to help bottle feed the baby goats, lambs and calves in the evening at the Pet Farm next to the office. We would definitely stay here again. Rate reflects Good Sam Discount.

Website was very kind to this place. Not what we expected. Small place sits up on a cliff at the top of Raton Pass. It's overpriced. The morning of our departure we started to drain a bit of water from our fresh water tank and were immediately accosted by either the owner or workamper and told in a very nasty manner that we couldn't do that. We won't be back here again.

Pretty park located just a few miles from the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Has lots of aspen trees for shade. Beautiful river views on a lot of the sites. Has nice folks in the office. Some sites are a bit narrow but we had no problems getting in and out. We would definitely stay here again. Rate reflects our 50% Passport America discount.

This is a decent campground. Sites are a bit small but OK for an overnight or two. Not a very picturesque place. At the recommendation of one of the reviewers here, we decided to try the restaurant delivery service to our site. Never again, was horrible food. Rate we paid reflected an Escapees discount.

OK place for a night or two, but would probably not stay here much longer. It's all gravel, no grass. Located right on the river but not very scenic. Has lots of permanent workers in run-down camping trailers with multiple vehicles parked on their sites. What staff we met were friendly and helpful. Rate we paid was Passport 50% off rate.

Escapee & Passport America discount is good for water & electric only, and only for 2 nites. First impression is good, but once you're here for a while you realize just how this park is deteriorating. Recent new owners are not RV'ers and do not "get" it as far as the needs or wants of RV'ers, and they really could care less. They apparently don't hire "outsiders" to help with cleaning and upkeep except maybe grass mowing because some of the facilities need some work and serious cleaning. Laundry room was clean "down the middle" but when you really looked, it was scuzzy around the machines which meant the floors are not cleaned around/under/beside them. Large amounts of dead bugs everywhere in laundry room and even in fromt of the entrance door to laundry room. Yuk! Grass burrs were HORRIBLE both for us and the dog. Lots of rules and regulations posted all over the place but nobody seems to enforce them. I guess we would stay here again if we had to, but would probably try to find something else first.

Nice park for the most part. Some sites are nicer than others, but those seem to be taken by seasonals, which left the so-so sites for those just traveling thru. It served the purpose, and we would stay there again. Compared to the prices of some of the other parks in Sioux Falls, this place is great for the price.

Good Sam Park. We really liked it. Friendliest greeting we've ever received in an RV park. VERY pet friendly too. Large shaded pull thrus. Easy access to the interstate but you can't hear it. We would definitely stop here again.

The full hookup part was a concrete slab, angled so badly that we drug the bottom of the motorhome and the hitch getting into site. No grass - just gravel and a small tree. Sites sit downhill from a bar so at 2 pm the noise was horrid. There is a nice grassy shaded campground but no sewer and probably low electric voltage. Would probably stay here again if necessary since there isn't too much to choose from in this part of the country. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Cable was nice though. Pool was closed and apparently had been for quite some time.

We love this place! We used Passport America so price is low. The Gustafson's live on site and are warm and friendly people. They've done a great job in 2 years turning this land into a wonderful campground. We planned to stay a week but just went up today and extended it another week. It will be hard to leave such a great place. Sites are large. Utilities are good. Nice fire ring & grill at each site. Ice cream every night! Local musicians drop in now and again to sit on the porch and pick and sing. We're having a great time and would love to spend a whole summer here.

Decent little campground but a bit overpriced. Easy on & off I-74 but far enough away so you didn't hear the interstate noise. Site size was fine. Pretty little fishing pond and a nice mowed path thru the woods. Would definitely stop here again.

Would not stay here again unless it was an absolute emergency. This park is a "Coast to Coast 5 Star Resort" according to the plaque at the most impressive park entrance and from first appearances, it looked like that's what we were pulling into. However, once around the bend and we could actually see the sites, it was a totally different story. Tiny little sites so narrow that if you could get your awning out at all, you'd have the neighbor's sewer and electric/water hookups under your awning. Out of 525 sites, only 20 were 50 amp. There were big rigs in here but there was barely room. Main roads were fine but the paths the sites were on were way too narrow for comfortable manuevering. Tons of kids.

Beautiful and friendly park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Level, gravel sites are a good size, and each has a small patio and long enough for big rigs. Great area for walking and exercising the dog. Nice playground for the kids. Individual shower rooms with locking doors are first class. Extremely clean and well maintained park. There's even a stationary tub on the outside of the bath house for washing or rinsing off muddy or dirty stuff not suitable for washing indoors - the dog maybe? We saw someone doing just that. What a great idea! Convenient to both Camping World, Wal-Mart and Cracker Barrel. We've told several people about this park since our visit and will most definitely tell more. We'll also stay here whenever we're in the area. You won't be disappointed with this one.

Definitely not a destination campground. It was dusty, which means muddy if it rained. Sites were very closely spaced on narrow streets but we were able to get in and out with our 35' motorhome with the car still hooked up. Lots of road noise. Dogs running all over the place and dog waste everywhere, so apparently management does not enforce pet rules. Mostly trailer trash with a bunch of kids and 2 or 3 dogs chained up outside all the time. Atmosphere was a bit unsettling. It served a purpose for us since we had an appointment at Camping World right across the street, but we would not stay here again. Highly overpriced even at $22.00 per night.
