We camped here because of the less than an hour drive. It was Mother's day weekend - There were plenty of activities for being early in the season. This is primarily a seasonal campground with limited sights in the back (across from pool and playground), we were the only people there. The sites are flat and grass. I rate this campground a 7 due to the people who work at the front desk and the workers in the campground in golf carts. The front desk people are not friendly and want to follow the rules to a "t", but the people in the campground will do anything for you because they get a bonus if you take their card and book another weekend. It was like door to door sales meets camping. PS - protect your aluminum cans the workers collect them for money (very pushy).

I was excited to visit Hershey Park and stay at this campground, but after 10 minutes here my family and I were looking for a new campground for the night. The workers here are past the point of being unpleasant. I have never been treated or spoken to like these workers did to me in my life. The comments and attitude was not unpleasant but it was though they were trying to make my stay as uncomfortable as possible. We camped there during the week, and I can see why they never fill up. I would strongly recommend not staying at this campground - I will be lodging a complaint with corporate KOA - I have lost faith in KOA as a standard I could always count on.

My family and I had a fantastic time at Trap Pond. The park was quiet and well maintained- the prices were great - considering it is a state park with hook ups. Do not come to the park looking for a commercial setup - just the basics. There is a really nice lake that for a small fee you can rent a kayak, canoe, or take the pontoon boat ride (we did). I would strongly recommend this park for a family that just wants to relax.

This park is run by the seasonal campers. They are very welcoming and keep the place well maintained. The sites here are huge with a lot of trees and shade. The seasonal sites are well established with stone work and displays. The pool is great for the kids- there are three sections one at 1.5 feet, 3 feet, and a 5 foot section. There are no life guards, but the seasonal people keep a good eye on you. There is a great pond for fishing and make sure you check out bingo night. Watch out for the golf carts and make sure you have time to talk to the locals ( they want to know who you are, because "you ain't usually here" was the most common conservation starters).

This park is a money maker. Everything there is set up to make money. The only reason that I rated the park higher is due to the fact that my kids love the characters and all the excitement. (Even though Yogi did not show up, because there was not any one tall enough for the costume - Boo Boo all weekend). The bath rooms are cleaned early in the day - by night they are a little rough. Look out for the seasonal campers with golf carts - they are everywhere. Watch your children on the road.
