Nice clean park with gravel sites and paved roads geared to the larger RVs. Huge park in a great location: very close to West Yellowstone downtown and attractions and a very short distance to Yellowstone West gate. Very busy park so reserve early. Has great showers; no pool. One playground that is smallish for such a large park and pretty far from most of the sites.
Nice park for the family, albeit not cheap. We had full hookups plus TV for $65. The pool is nice, there is a main pool a kiddie pool and a hottub - all clean. A bit crowded, but pleasant. There is a nice playground area and even a dog park. Very clean park.
We have visited this park several times over the years, but finally reached a 'last straw' moment on our two trips this year. The park had always been a bit unkempt and crowded (your neighbor’s sewer is a few feet away from your unmovable picnic table and BBQ), but in the last while it appears the owner/operator has decided to maximize profits by increasing rates and overcrowding the park. On our last visit, upon confirming our reservation and paying $92 for two days, we were led by the owner to a weedy, bug-filled field by the garbage cans (no service hookups either). Thinking it was some sort of joke, I went to ask the owner what was going on. He shrugged his shoulders, said reservations were not guaranteed, and after a lot of discussion, offered up a $3 (yes, three bucks!) discount. After a family discussion, we decided to cut our vacation short and left. On the previous visit, we actually got a real campsite (!), but awoke the next morning to find a large RV parked two feet from our 5th wheel rear bumper. Apparently, the grass tenting spots located behind most of the RV spots are now routinely housing not tents but large RVs. So, we had 3 RVs parked within 10 ft of our 5th wheel, making it feel more like a RV sales lot than a campground.
