Pioneer Park is one of those "Best Kept Secrets" we all like to find out about. The host is friendly and helpful, the park clean and well kept and quiet. An outstanding value for the price! Having the Wi-Fi was a nice touch. The camp and the dump station is an easy in - easy out.

Typical of an older state park. An outstanding place to visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are into Texas history this is a must visit.

Listen close when communicating with park personnel. What you ask for and what you pay for will probably be different. To stay here you must love posted "rules". They are everywhere! The back-in site we were assigned was a muddy gravel and not level. I had to dig the sewer connection out of the dirt and needed help to pry the cap off.
