I don't agree with the person who wrote the review in April 2012. We have stayed here a lot of times, and the park is really nice. They have a beautiful lodge and lake. The pool was nice, and they had many activities. There is dirt there as it is in the desert ,a no brainer for most people. Most parks are dirt in AZ. They had many activities, meals and all were a lot of fun. Staff was very friendly except for one lady in the office and everyone knew who she was. The restrooms and laundry were very clean. The only draw back was that if you didn't have your own internet service you had to go to the computer room to get on, and it was very slow. We were in one of the handicapped sites by the club house and got poor reception on our wi-fi. We would stay up on the hill as everyone said the reception was good up there. We would stay here again.
This is a Colorado River Adventure Park, but they do take other memberships. We stayed on a RPI membership. This is an older park and has taken over a KOA park that was next to it so there are a lot more sites, and I'm not sure on the total now. They have wifi, but you have to go to the computer room as it doesn't carry very far, and I found it very slow. Also my Verizon wifi worked slow in the site we were in. They have a lot of activities and meals which were very good when we were there. Lots of trees,so be sure to check your site if you have roof top satellite. Antenna channels came in well. Most of staff was friendly; always a few that seem not to like their job, just not the kind that should be working with the public it seemed. You are allowed to have a company come in and wash and wax your rigs which is nice. Lots to see and do around the area, great flea markets. We will stay here again. They have a lake there but you have to get a fishing license to fish in it. No one we talked to had caught anything, so we didn't spend the $32.00 for a few days to try it.
We stayed here on membership, and it was $10.00. They are now an Encore Park, but we noticed that they advertise spaces from the road. I am assuming they take public reservations but not sure. We had our own wi-fi Verizon that worked well. The stations on antenna TV came in well. Lot of Spanish stations, too. Staff is very friendly; they saved a package we had sent there before we arrived, and we thought that was very nice. The park is clean, no shade to speak of, but you are in the desert, so it didn't bother us. Would stay here again when in the area. Some of the sites face each other, which is great if you have friends traveling with you.
The newer section for overnight is very nice. Has patio with table. We give it a 10 as the trains don't bother us. If you don't want to hear trains I would advise you to go somewhere else. Very clean and they give you a discount for your next stay that is good forever. Staff is friendly, we will stay here again.
This is a small park and has many perms. It is clean and sites have tables. The staff is friendly, also they have a nice rec room with 2 pool tables. The rate is great. Wi-Fi is Tango and you pay for it. We had our own so didn't use it. Well lit at night by our space. Will stay here every time we come through town.
This is a very nice park. Loved the privacy of each site. Tall Oleanders between sites. Nice concrete patios. No tables though. Camp hosts were very friendly and take you to your site and sign you up. The Wi-Fi is free but signal was low and it wouldn't hook up, We had our own Wi-Fi so it was ok for us.We could see the town at night and it was a nice view from our RV.The palm trees are lit up at night. We would stay here again. Rate includes tax.
For an older park, it is well maintained. The roads are paved and the sites are gravel with grass all around them. They have a really nice pool. The showers and bathrooms were very clean, just older. The noise from the interstate isn't that bad and there are some trains that run during the night, which I love to hear. After the first 2 nights I slept right through. Staff is very nice and very helpful. The club house could use more lighting, has 2 pool tables and lots of books and puzzles. They didn't have any activities while we were here. Would have rated it higher if they had Wi-Fi and cable TV, but it seems most parks around here don't have those things. We have Direct TV and internet access, so that didn't bother us. We will come back again as we just came here to relax, and we find it is a nice place to do this. Laundry is cheap and is clean. It is close to a lot of things to see and near a casino. We stayed on a ROD membership.
We live close to the park so thought we would try it out. They have 10 spots with full hookups. It is a first come basis. You can call that morning and they will tell you if a space is open. The sites are 501 - 510. They are pull through sites and they are very wide and spread apart. Each has a bbq grill, table, fire ring. They are on asphalt. Mostly level need a little adjustment. Most have shade. We had a Verizon mifi and phone and the reception was great. We have Direct TV and it worked great. The lake is nice too. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back often. We stayed on a disability card. It was 12.00 Mon-Thurs and 26.10 on Fri-Sat-Sun. Staff very friendly. Close to shopping and sight seeing on Route 66.
This TT park is a joke. it is not taken care of, too much shade, very dark, small sites, uneven grounds. No 50 amp sites with sewer. Store is closed most of the time. The laundry room was filthy. Lots of kids and pets running all over the place, very noisy. We were very disappointed in this park. The staff at the gate was very nice, but that's all that was nice about this park. No Wi-Fi; they said they have it but it didn't work while we were there. We won't stay here again even though it was free on our membership.
This is a good overnight park. The man that checked us in was nice, but not overly friendly. We were put in the front of the park, which was OK,gravel sites with picnic table. Wi-Fi was free and good. My husband said the restroom was clean. We did hear train and car traffic, but didn't bother us. We would stay here again and have stayed here in the past.
For WY this is a nice park. It is very hard to find parks along I-80. The staff was very nice and they have a nice little store to shop for goodies. Was sorry to hear their season ended the 31st. It seems they had a lot going on during the summer months. We did get to see lots of animals. The bathrooms were very clean, but lacked in lighting. The showers were very dark. Take a lantern with you. Laundry was cheap. Wi-Fi was free and had good service. Sites were gravel and that is expected in WY. The I-25 traffic didn't bother us and was quiet at night. We got the passport on the first night, regular rate thereafter. We would stay here again, nice overnight stop..
This is a very nice park. Most spaces have a little grass and a picnic table. Staff was very friendly.I had a dental problem and they told me about a new dentist in town.He was very good,if you should need one. They were offering a pancake breakfast on the weekends while we were here. The wi-fi worked well and was free. The restrooms and showers were very clean. As stated the laundry was only $1.00 wash or dry.The little town of Silverton is beautiful, lots of hanging flower baskets all over town.Close to Salem for major shopping. They do have a nice Safeway and Roths and also some cute shops. We would stay here again when traveling. There is also an Espresso drive up on the property with great drinks.
This is a nice park. Some sites right on the lake. Some sites are large with grass. Fishing was great; they have 2 lakes, but charge for fishing. They keep it well stocked with trout and one with catfish. If you have Verizon cell service it will work and our wi-fi from Verizon worked well. You had to go to the club house to get wi-fi. We will stay here again. We really enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife. They have a lot of family activities, too.
We stayed here on a membership. It is tiered on a hill. You have no cell phone service or WiFi at most all sites. You can go up to the top of the hill in the club house and get a weak signal on both. We probably won't stay here again. Staff was friendly. You can't have charcoal BBQs here.so bring your propane.
This is a beautiful park. Everyone was so friendly, the restrooms and showers are the cleanest we have seen in a long time. We stayed right across from them and the staff was there many times a day cleaning them. The laundry was air conditioned. We just can't say enough good things about this park. We will stay here again, also it's nice to be away from the casino traffic. It's a #10 as far as we are concerned and you don't see too many of them anymore..
This park has it good and bad points. The bad first the owners make you pay a $60.00 security deposit, which they won't refund when you leave. They say they will refund your credit card when they audit their books. They then make you pay your electric bill separate and charge $6.00 for the last night you stay. The roads and sites are concrete, but very narrow and hard to get into spaces. The water pressure is terrible. The other campers are very nice, and helped us park. The airport is next door and is very noisy day and night with helicopter noise and Navy planes doing touch and goes. The bathrooms and laundry are very clean. The wifi was terrible,a lot of people were complaining about it.They do have a lot of activities and trips going to places around the area. The breakfast on Sat is great for $3.00.The campers here are very friendly and made the stay worthwhile. We stayed for a month. If we return to the area we won't stay here again.
This park is small, clean, and we love it. We are here for a month, visiting. We tried to stay at Twin, and were told we couldn't get a monthly rate for 4 weeks. We stayed there for two years, yet now they were very rude to us. So, we found this park and are so glad we did as we will never go back to Twin. This is a no frills park but is beautiful and well kept. They have a laundry and it is only $1.00 wash and dry. So if you don't need a big club house, this is the place for you. It is well lit at night which we like, and it is quiet. You can hear the trains at night but we love it. We would highly recommend it as we will be back here every few months. The owner and staff are so friendly and will do anything to help you. The Wi-Fi works great. Gee for OK: this is the place and it is close to everything. We give it a 10!
This is the most beautiful state park we have stayed in. The only draw back was that if you leave the park they charge you the daily fee to get back in. But if you leave in the daytime and come back after closing which is about 10 pm you can get back in free. The Wi-Fi is great and you don't see Wi-Fi in most state parks. The sites are big rig friendly. They are cement pads and very level and have tables and BBQ rings. We have a daughter in the area and we always stay her. It is a #10. The B campground is the best, but they are all great and staff is very nice, they even have a place where you can fly your remote control airplanes, it's so cool. We love it here and wish we could stay more often. Wonderful, wonderful.
This park has come a long way in the past 2 years. We stay here about every 4 months for a month. They have raised their monthly prices this year and I think they are way over priced. $549.50 is a bit much for the area and on the interstate, with a lot of noise on the back side of the park. We refuse to stay at the back of the park as it is too noisy 24/7. The wi-fi finally works well. We have heard a lot of complaints from big rigs on getting into some of the sites. The office staff is ok and the owner is there every day. They do have problems on scheduling sites. I would advise calling if you have made reservations and make sure you get the site you requested. Over all it is the best park in Oklahoma City and they do have a beautiful office area and covered patio for reunions etc. Also have kitchen facilities. We will always stay here when we are in town.
The roads were full of potholes and the sites unlevel. Needs a lot of work done, but could be a nice park. They are building Condos next to the park and seem to take more interest in them than the R.V. park. You have to pay for wifi through Tengo and it didn't work most of the time. Some said it worked if you were close to the office. They had a lot of activities.
This park is far from everything. Very spread out. You have to drive to the pool and recreation areas. You can only get wifi in the sports arena, office and diner. No cell phone service. We did get a weak signal a few times, but most people said they had no service. Needs maintenence, as most of the sites had weeds growing all over them. The sites are narrow and unlevel. The adult center is very small and the lighting is bad. The gym area is hot and they had big fans going but was still hot. On the weekends the pools are crowded with children. No adult pool. We won't return to this park. Security was good. We stayed here on an ROD membership
This is an older park and the owners are in the process of redoing a lot of things. Very friendly staff.restrooms and showers were clean. Has small laundry room. Also has a lot of perms, most keep their sites clean. We stayed on the hiway side, quiet at night, but lots of traffic during the day. Wifi good in sites close to office. We stayed here on an RPI membership.
This is an old KOA The bathrooms and pool were clean, just old.Wifi was good only at sites close to office.Lots of trees and does have some large sites for big rigs.A lot of pipeline workers stay here for months at a time.Close to shopping mall. Fishing in the lake. Staff was friendly. We heard the park was in the process of selling.
This is a beautiful park. Very clean and sites are spacious and have concrete table and benches. Restrooms were clean.Security made frequent rounds and the shuttle bus went 24/7. The casino is nice and the food was good. The wifi worked well. We will stay here again.
We stayed here on ROD membership.Had plenty of activities and meals.Very good food and friendly staff.Very nice club house.Kept very clean.Sites are nice. We were in a handicap site and it was very close to clubhouse and activities. We stayed in a fifth wheel.Wish they would get wifi.We had to go to their sister park 5 miles away to use the wifi.We would stay here again.
We stayed here on a membership. We were very dissappointed in this park. The manager was nice and told us this was their off season. The road in was full of potholes. The sites were over grown with grass and the hookups were hidden in the grass. They only had a few working sites. The laundry had only 1 working washing machine. The womens' restroom was clean, the mens' was dirty. Could be nice with lots of work.Could use laptop in office but low signal won't reach to sites.
This is a beautiful park, we loved it and extended our stay to 5 weeks. The managers are wonderful and take pride in the park. Lots of activities and a beautiful pool area. Has a lake with a nice view and lots of pine trees. Very clean one of the best parks we have stayed in, can't wait to go back !!!!
New park, very clean. Had a lot of long term units. Only draw back was no WiFi. Hope they get it. Would not stay there again due to no WiFi. They have a modem hook up for a deposit but my computer wouldn't hook up to it. My husband's did. Close to fast food places and gas stations. Has highway noise but didn't bother us. Fine for an overnight stay.
This park is small but very nice and the owners are building a new office. We stayed just one night but found it very nice. WiFi costs $4.95 for 24 hrs, found it the only draw back as most parks offer it free now. Would stay here again on our way through.
We stay here every time we pass through Amarillo. We have stayed at other RV parks here but this is the best in Amarillo. Huge sites, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, laundry and too many amenities to mention. Family owned and the owners are very friendly and will do anything to make your visit a wonderful experience. We think this is one of the best RV parks we have ever stayed in. Close to dining and shopping. Very quiet no highway or railway noise. It's the best!
