Very nice State Park, some sites have a lake view although the bank down to the water is very steep. For lake access there are walking and biking trails to the nearby beach area. We rode all the bike trails, they are paved although tree roots have made some bumpy. Some nice views, and pleasant forest ride. Only complaint is that some folks camp with noisy dogs that are not trained.
This is an urban setting, across the street from a shopping mall, with a mobile home park on the other side. If you have the expectation that this is not camping at the beach or in a forest, then this is a very nice place to stay. This site makes a good home base for exploration in the Portland area. As it is urban, there are nighttime noises and nearby traffic.
National Park Service, located near end of road. Shady campground next to river and close to ocean. We especially enjoyed hikes on the beach and the northwest coast scenery. Typical of NPS, some parking spaces are tight.
