It is a beautiful campground with large roomy sites. I would have rated higher if the bathrooms and showers were cleaner. Also, for some reason there are A LOT of street lights in the campground. Way too much light pollution. Finally, locals who were camping were out in their boat from midnight until 2 or 3. A good night's sleep was hard to come by.
Great campground with big sites, privacy, and beautiful views. Shuttle very convenient at the nearby visitor center. Our back-in site was angled perfectly for our 35' fifth wheel. Love the park & love the campground!
A no frills park, perfect for an overnight stop. Long, level pull thrus with plenty of room for slides. Free cable and Wi-Fi that worked pretty well. Passport America park, so a real bargain. Would stay here again.
Great RV park! Long, level, pull thru sites. Free cable & Wi-Fi that worked. Beautiful laundry facilities. Office folks were some of the nicest we have encountered. If in the area, we would definitely stay here again.
We have family in the area, and I was so happy I found out about this campground! The campground is off the main road and very quite. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. The campground is wooded and sites are a good size. Pulling the rig through is a little tight in spots, but no problem. Will definitely stay here again.
One of our favorite RV parks! Huge sites with trees and shrubs for privacy. Nice folks in the office. Great location with lots to do in the area. We paid the Passport America rate. Will stay here again.
Typical snowbird RV park in south Florida. Electric hook-up very dated with no circuit breaker at site, just an outlet. Sites close together. We were in town visiting family, so this park was convenient and would stay here again for that purpose. Would NOT stay long term, just too many people too close. We paid special rate for first time visitors: $89 for the week, plus "resort charge" of $25, which I didn't like, as we used NONE of the amenities.
Friendly folks at check-in, and a beautiful, rustic campground with huge sites with water/electric hook-ups. You can hike right from the campground. We are in a 32' fifth wheel and would fit in most sites. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice park for an overnight. The WiFi worked well and the site was long enough so that we didn't have to unhook. Very quiet park. The buddy sites make for narrow sites, but enough room for our slides. We would stay here again.
Great campground in a beautiful desert setting. They offer a "no generator" area which was perfect for folks like us with solar panels. Great hiking out of the campground. Lots of birds! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
With a little maintenance, this park would be a 10. It is located in a beautiful area and makes a good base camp for visiting Mt. Ranier NP & Mt. St. Helens. The interior roads of the park are full of pot holes and mud. All the sites could use additional gravel. However, we would stay here again. Very nice folks at check in.
Very nice RV park: nice folks, free cable, free Wi-Fi that actually works! We stayed for an overnight but would definitely stay longer if visiting Missoula. Big pull throughs so we didn't have to unhook. I would give it a 10, except for the nearby trains coming through during the night.
Office folks were friendly. Sites are very unlevel and most are side by side hook-ups. No room to park truck at site, and our 5th wheel is just 30'. Wi-Fi was free, but very, very slow. Nice laundry facilities. Nightly rate is based on AOR ($9 + recently instated $5 service charge). Would we stay here again? Probably not.
This park is old, run down, and poorly maintained. There are several old, run down, non-road-worthy permanent RVs. We had a water/electric site only, which is OK, but their dump station was horrible. It was so unlevel, we could not dump our rear kitchen holding tank. No room to maneuver RVs. The only positive was the friendly & helpful office worker. We will not stay here again.
Nice campground with beautiful views of Colorado River and the surrounding landscape. No hook-ups, but nice size sites. Good hiking in the area. Dump station is located up the road near the ranger station. Folks with Sr or Access cards would pay 1/2 price. We would stay here again.
Perfect for our overnight stop. Most facilities were closed this time of year. We had a nice view from our site and had only one other rig in the park. We would stay here again. Nightly fee is Passport America rate.
With the ratings given this campground in the Trailer Life Directory, we expected much more. Even their ad states, "Expect to be Impressed." The campground has seen better days. It appeared run down with many permanent folks. We had a pull-thru site & still had to unhook, and our 5er is only 30 feet. This park is fine for an overnight, but that's about it.
We were looking for an overnight park in Columbus. Everywhere I called, including this park, was full due to a horse show in town. An hour later our cell phone rang and this host called us back. He had a cancellation and wanted to see if we still needed a site. I couldn't believe he was so proactive. He & his wife were very nice. The park was OK..not a "camping experience," but a safe place to stay for the night. We would stay there again if we find ourselves going through Columbus.
Pretty Corp of Engineer campground right on the headwaters of the Mississippi River. Huge sites with pretty views of river. In October the water is turned off. The dump station is still open, but no water is available. One negative: train tracks are very close; however, we were awakened during the night only once. We would stay here again.
Nice park. We arrived without reservations, and although the park was almost full, we were assigned a site with a view of Lake Superior. Our schedule allowed us to stay only 1 night. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Great value! Not fancy but very adequate. Within walking distance to the Space Center. Very nice office personnel. We had planned on staying 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Huntsville is a great area to explore. Beautiful autumn colors.
