We were disappointed in this campground for the following reasons. They advertise WiFi hook up but you can only connect if you sit on the front porch of the office. You cannot get WiFi from your RV. The laundry room had two washers and two dryers. One washer did not work properly, but did not have an "Out of Order" sign on it I found out only via another camper who happened to be in the laundry room as I was checking out the facility. She also told me that one dryer did not work, no "Out of Order" sign on that either. The grounds looked unkept, there was a pickup full of trash/junk parked by the bathrooms and there were swarms of biting flies, we could not sit outside nor walk in the campground due to the flies. The owners seemed disinterested in the situation. To be fair the "biting flies" may be a problem of the area we do not know. We probably would not stay here again.
This is a small, parking lot campground with absolutely no shade. The sites are close, close together, but the campground is kept up well and very clean. The owner, Peter D, is worth the stop. He is a most likable man wanting to please his guest, and he does. We stayed only one night and was sorry we couldn't stay longer just to talk with Peter! We want him in our family!
We reserved a pull thru site and was told this campground had pull thru sites, but they do not. The sites are all back in sites and very close together. Plenty of shade trees. The campground looks as if it is still under construction. I did visit the laundry room and did laundry, it was clean and well kept. The pool was large and also well kept. There were several sites that looked to be lived on year round and some not well kept. The entry to the campground is very steep and narrow. This was not one of my favorite campgrounds but I would stay there again for one night only not an extended stay.
This was a clean and well kept campground in the middle of no where, but close to the Badlands with plenty of shade trees. We reserved a pull through site so that we would not have to disconnect our car as we were only staying one night. However, the sewer connection was so far away from the water and electric connection that we had to disconnect our car in order to accommodate all hookups, that was the only negative. They served a Native Taco for dinner that was not only delicious, but huge. We would stay here again, even with the funny hookup situation.
This was a beautiful campground on beautiful Lake Herman. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sites were large and well spaced. The only negative were no sewer hookups. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday and there were only 3 other campers in the campground. It was very, very quiet. There isn't a swimming pool but there is a beautiful swimming beach. We would stay there again.
This park was very busy, but well kept. We would stay there again, however, it was further out than we expected from the main highway. That was the only negative. The owners were friendly and helpful. Multiple activities. A great family campground.
This was an excellent campground. The owners were friendly and helpful. The sites were a little close together but kept neat and clean. It was quiet even though close to a main highway. We would stay again. Please note that our nightly rate reflects the fact that we were given a monthly rate as we stay in this campground one month.
