We stayed here on the way south in December for two nights and again for one night on the way home. This is a very convenient park for traveling up and down the I-5. The sites are very level so you don't have to do anything for a quick exit in the morning. We were escorted to our site both times by the owner and his dog. He positioned us so that the slides would clear any obstructions and we'd be handy to the hook-ups. Wi-Fi is with Tengo. The first 6 hours are free and the signal was strong. It's handy to I-5 but we could not hear any road noise. There is a fruit stand near the entrance to the park with oranges and almonds. There are two service stations near as well, both with diesel. This park is not a holiday destination but it is great for a few nights and very friendly.
We stayed here on the way south in December and there was self-check-in system in place at a kiosk at the entrance. On the way north the procedure had changed. Now you find a site, note the number and check-in at the travel center (the small building east of the RV area). The sites are a bit unlevel as noted in previous posts. This is another great place to stay on your I-5 travels. It's basic but we really enjoy staying here. Our dog loves the dog area. We love the buffet at the casino. Depending on the specials, the two of us ate for less than $20 including coffee. The food is varied, plentiful and good. Fuel is available on site at the Chevron. They have diesel. If you need to use their showers, there is an extra charge.
This a great park for a stop off the I-5. Although very handy to the I-5, the road noise is minimal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The buildings are very clean and the sites are tidy, surfaced in asphalt. There is also a grass area within the site. Fuel and Denny's are close by at the Pilot. Denny's is a short walk away. When we stayed here in December, I requested a site near the showers. It was on quite a slope. As I did not want to unhook my trailer, I had to use a bit of lumber under my tires to level my trailer. On the way back home, I asked for a more level site which was much better. A 2 x 6 under each of my truck's rear wheels completely leveled the trailer. And we were still fairly close to the washrooms. Overall, this is a beautiful park. Had the sites been level, I'd have given it a "10".
We did not actually stay at this park because we drove in and left immediately as it was too steep for our liking. I did not like pulling my big 5th wheel up the very steep grades here. Furthermore, I did not find the signage here too helpful to find our assigned site. Had I found the site, we might have decided to stay. Also, for an overnight stay, it was too far down a narrow highway from the interstate for us.
