What a special place to stay for a few days to enjoy the peace this park offers. Our site was huge, well shaded, and had lots of room. 50 amp power worked great and cable television was an added bonus for a state park. Bathrooms were modern and spotless. Be sure to explore the area and enjoy the many hiking trails.
This is a convenient stop if you are traveling on I-40. Our site was a pull through, but had very little room between sites. Although we had a 50 amp site, we could not run both air conditioners due to low voltage. This was not a problem since the weather was not too hot. Bathrooms were very clean. The road leading to the campground had some low hanging branches, but we were able to avoid them. We would camp here again if traveling through the area.
This is a fantastic park in a great location. Our site for our 30 ft RV was level with lots of space between our site and the next. We enjoyed waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and beautiful view of the lake. Power worked well on 50amp. Lots of opportunities for walking and wildlife viewing.
This is the best park for staying in the Memphis/Tunica area. Sites are level and well spaced. Restrooms, laundry area, and pool are exceptional. Park is well maintained. We will stay here again when visiting family in the Memphis area.
We had a beautiful lake-front site with a nice fire ring and picnic table. Site was level with good 50 amp hookup. Restrooms were old and dated but kept very clean by the park hosts. We did have a problem with dog ticks but this is an Army Corps park located in a natural setting in the south, so ticks are to be expected. It was great waking up to our beautiful view of Arkabutla Lake. We would stay here again but probably not in the summer.
After having to leave one park due to power issues, we drove two hours to this park and were pleasantly surprised by it's peaceful setting, inviting pool, and clean restrooms. It's close to the interstate and just perfect for a one night stop. Park is wooded with a nice walking trail. Owners are friendly and accommodating. We had a large pull-through site with a nice picnic table and good 50 amp service. We hope to return for a longer stay.
We had to leave this park due to power issues with our 50amp site. Park mainly consists of permanent residents with a few chained dogs living in dog houses. Site was a pull though, and we would have stayed for one night, had the power worked. This would not be a place for a long term stay.
Park was nice for a one night stay. There were a couple of long term residents but for the most part we had the park to ourselves. Easy to get to from the interstate. We would stay here again if traveling through Atlanta. Site was level and power worked well.
