Easy entry from US 59, well marked. Good interior roads. This is a brand new park opened in April 2011. On-site laundry facility soon to open. Each site has two sewer hookups for big rigs. Owner lives on site and is very helpful with everything. Walking trails in nearby wooded areas. 18-hole golf course within walking distance. This is the best park in this area.
This place needs some TLC! Daily management is handled by camp "hosts" who basically just collect fees. You never know who to ask for help. Some sites flood after heavy rain and none are level. Forget using your cell phone, signal is very weak. There is no grass at all, the free-roaming deer eat it all! It's kind of like camping on the beach, sand EVERYWHERE! Many long-term campers. It's obvious that the owners don't have their hearts in this place.
Poor signage from the main road Hwy 59. Bad interior roads, no gravel or pavement, dust storm conditions. The speed limit is not enforced so the dust problem is even worse. Any shade sites are occupied by permanent worker-campers. But this is just another pitiful example of all the RV parks near Nacogdoches. You're better off boondocking in Wal-Mart's parking lot! At least there's no dust there.
