Very nice park, one of the nicest I have stayed in. Not listed in any of my directories, I learned about it from this review site. No discount clubs were accepted. Exceptionally quiet park for it's size. Very large, heated pool that was empty most of the time. I was puzzled by my good fortune at being able to swim laps in total peace. Later I read the info packet and noted that no one under 18 is allowed to use the facilities. We stayed in a section very near the interstate and railroad tracks, and as others have noted, it is noisy, which is why I rated it a 9 instead of 10. But, the positives greatly outweigh the noise, which I got used to by the second night. Wifi was good for the first four nights, and the fifth night I could not get a signal. I have a small external wifi receiver with antenna and this gave me a strong signal. Many TV channels. Beautifully kept grounds, nice clubhouse, garbage pickup in front of your site, security gate with code access at night, very safe feeling, spacious sites. This park will not disappoint. A negative previously noted is no picnic tables.
Ditto on the noise, park is sandwiched between the interstate and the railroad. Very limited number of TV channels. Wi-Fi worked well, but the provider ran a advertising banner under the browser within the usual browsing area. It was very annoying and I could not get rid of it. Site was not cleaned, trash around. There are better places to stay in the SD area during this time of year, like Campland, better TV and non-annoying Wi-Fi, limited hook-up section for the same price. A positive is that the park is located on Santa Fe St., which dead ends, and a paved bike path begins. I biked to La Jolla on good bike paths and well marked, wide bike lanes and returned along the coast and Grand ave.
I can see how the reviews of this park can vary so much. I stayed in the D section, water, electric, TV hookups, no sewer. This section was almost empty so it was very private and quiet with a view of the bay and many shade trees. The same with sections A, B, and C, no sewer. The sections with full hook ups were very crowed with narrow spaces: not my style, and music coming from some rigs. In the summer, I understand that the place is very full with many families and many kids, so forget trying to swim in the pool. I would stay again in the winter season. I would not like any section during the summer and would not come here. I don't like crowded, noisy RV parks with small sites. Price reflects PA discount.
Price is PA discount. After about eight miles down a good dirt road, which was actually better than the beginning paved part, the appropriately named park appeared. Located in a very scenic desert (for southern NM). Good level sites. Only downside to me was the use of the many ATVs as transportation around the park by guests too lazy to walk. Too noisy in such a quiet, remote location. I would stay there again. Nicer than most parks in Deming.
