This is a great park for visiting the surrounding area. Easy to find, very quiet and exceptionally clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. The sites are fairly small compared to what we are used to, but it is perfect for winter use. We stayed in the cheaper sites which we thought were ideal. There is a nice field right next door where we let the dogs run, but this is not part of the campground. I would say that the park is more geared toward adults, although there is a small play area for children. If you stay here, make sure you ask for the best way to get out, as the obvious route is pretty dangerous turning onto the main road.
Sites way too small and crammed together. About 2 feet between our canopy and next-door's slideout. Utilities poorly placed. Next door's septic outlet was next to our picnic table. Majority of big rigs pulling into pullthroughs would ground out as the hill was too steep. Beware! There was a nice walking area and the facilities/activities were good.
What a picturesque campsite. Very clean and quiet, with stunning views. The owner was very pleasant and attentive, and helpful with regard to what to do in the area. If we go again (we are planning to), we would definitely book the premium sites as they have the best views. Maneuvering our 35ft 5th wheel was a little tight, but definitely worth it. Not ideal for children as there are no activities, except horseshoes, but great for hiking which we did every day with our 3 dogs. Only 10 minutes to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate which was amazing.
