very nice park. Friendly staff, all full time worker campers. Lots of walking areas. Cafe is the best, breakfast was awesome. It is also great to walk the .4 miles, 10 min. to St. Mary Lodge for gifts or groceries. The other yellow 3 letter park is 1.5 miles to the lodge. Only complaint is, I have never been so tight in a site that my slides and awnings would not go out. I had to pull up and back just to get my left slides out and was not able to get awning out. Outside chairs, if reclined all the way would have hit my neighbors slide. Yes, that close, very tight. Restrooms and showers were clean but we don't get the pay showers. We took very long showers in our bus, same water right?? Would return again, great spot to visit Glacier Nat'l Park and the Red bus tour will pick you up at office.
Park is the closest to Denali Nat'l park if you are to big for park. Staff was very friendly. Walking distance to a lot of shopping and eating. Very nice area, glad we were too big for park. Sites are close and EVERYTHING is dirt and dusty. Don't leave your windows open. Cable TV was all snow. When I asked about it, I was told it was normal and as good as it would get. Restrooms were very small and always full. Restrooms/showers were nothing to be desired. Would stay again due to the area, not the park.
The only park you should stay at in Skagway. If you are over 37 foot, choose the "harbor" sites. They are outside the park right at the Lynn Canal Boat Harbor where the ships dock. Very quick walk into town. We had a great time. At evening time get your neighbors, chairs, and a glass of ???. Meet at the "bon voyage" rock and wave bye bye to the cruise ships. Only staff person was was very nice. Restrooms were clean, but we don't understand the pay showers, so we we took long showers in our bus. Same water, right?? Would return again.
Nice park. Staff friendly. Site was tight. Pool was clean and refreshing. Large property was well taken care of. Bathrooms and showers needed more attention and updated. Inside it looked like they were falling apart. Nice lake and walking areas. Price $24.50 was after Good Sam discount. Would return again. Very family friendly.
Very nice park, clean, well manicured RV park. I had an overnight stop. Found on RV park reviews. Race track and drag strip walking distance from park. They called the races, due to rain. I did not come for the race, but would have enjoyed it. Staff very friendly. Sites are very nice and spacious. I parked nose in, right up to small lake. laundry, restrooms and showers very clean and nicely decorated. I only wish I could stay more days and I wish this RV park was in my home town. I can't find anything to lower the score. Price $12.50 is Passport America. Unk. reg.price.
This was are 2nd time here, nothing has changed since 2010. Still very nice and peaceful. Again we were able to get the best site, #44. We fished a lot and caught a lot of bass. We did the springs and relaxed. owners do have a lot of rules but this is what we like and it is needed compared to other parks we have been in this year. The park is very, very clean. The only negative is the cable t.v. is not strong enough, Cable company needs to amplifiy it. Ohm it out, it is low. We camped here in a motorhome and we will be back.
Very nice campground, we had the best site #25 on the corner. The owner is fantastic, she is probably the nicest person we came across on our 3,000 mile trip. We tubed down the river a lot, kids loved it. We fished in the river, only caught sunfish. They also have a lot of kids and adult activities. The bath house is a little out dated. We camped in a motorhome and will be back.
Very very clean and neat. Stayed at site G-9 "stream site" across the road. Pool, laundry, clubhouse and bath/showers etc. were spotless. Great activities for all. Putt putt was the best we have ever seen from west coast to east coast. I was surprised we were not charged extra to use any of the activities like the other "campground." I don't like to be nickled and dimed for everything. We had a lot of fun. Another plus is you are in the middle of Waynesville and Maggie Valley. OK, the mill across the creek does have a smell. Most of the time you will smell a mild cedar/pine/mulch smell. On our 4th and last night, we did smell the manure smell; it was very thick and lasted for approximately 45 min. Do not pass this one up because of this. This campground has been the best one for all of us so far. Only reason for not giving a 10 is that the sites on "G creek front", are not really creek sites since the creek is across the road and the sites are not level. Everyone had to block and jack the front off the ground approximately 6-7 inches. This might be normal for the water shed. We will absolutely be back.
Great worker-campers. Site was nice and quiet in "B" section. Pool was OK and the grounds/bath rooms were clean. Office staff was not nice. Putt-putt was out dated and in need of many repairs. They have three lakes, none of which have big rig sites. One lake is a mud hole for the tents. Main lake is for the very busy, tight, loud weekend locals. Third lake is not in use for campers. Very busy campground, "B" section seemed to be the place to stay. When you arrive in A or B section you will hear a train less than one hundred yards away. You will say to your wife, husband and kids, listen to the train/horns "that is so neat" but this same train will wake you up (laugh) every day at approximately 0300 and 0500 hours. The train runs approximately six times a day. This is not a reason to pass this campground. We would return.
Had to stop for service, part would not be in for ten days. Stayed here for three days and will be back for the part. Everyone was great. Sites are very narrow but it did not bother us. Pool was fun and clean. Bath house smelled every day we were here. This would be a great place to stay if you are doing Look Out Mountain, Ruby Falls etc. We did that trip last year and did not know Camping World had this park. We stayed at the "other Park" on the other side of 75 and did not like it. Here you have lots of fishing also. We will be back.
Our second time here. Just as nice as before. We had a big pull through site. We did not use the pool but it is back across and down from the falls, not walking distance from the lower level sites. The pool is in walking distance from the upper sites but you can only camp there if you are under 30'. We had a great time, will be back.
Very friendly staff, clean bath but very out dated, putt putt was very old and breaking apart. For the roads you have to take to get to this place and the price, do some maintenance on the sites. If you drive a MH over 36 feet, you will have a blast trying to level it. After walking around the grounds, I think there was only 8-10 sites that looked level but you would also have the mud holes. There is no pavement in the park. I don't know where they took the "mountain" pictures. They are not at my site or others when I walked around. If you have small kids the playground is good. I will not stay here again.
Nice (great) peaceful park, 90% RV spots. Nice shade, new sections do not have shade. This is a clean park with clean restrooms/showers. Sites are grass with concrete patio, roads are rock but no dust. Pool was very clean. Pond by the pool has a lot of bass in it, good fishing. Overall great place, people were very friendly, we stayed in site 68 and will come back as soon as we can.
