Stayed here one night while traveling through. I was late checking in about 1 am. I called ahead and the on duty man said he would wait no problem. Nice facility, concrete slab, all very clean; they have a convenience store/gas station. Nice place ,very clean shower and restroom. Would stay there again anytime.
Stayed here a week while visiting area. Lots to see and do not far from San Antonio, LBJ Ranch, Fredricksburg and others. Friendly staff lots of activities at the park. Wood work shop and two pools. Lots of snowbirds in this big park. Nice and would stay here again. 9 is about the best I give for ratings.
We stayed here for a week at Mardi Gras. Great staff; very helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle bus 3 times a day to French Quarter. Yes, the last road to the camp was rough, but so are most of the roads in New Orleans. The area might look bad, but we had no problems. Once again it is an urban city. Sites were gravel but nice. Rain can be a problem for some, but it goes away. Where in New Orleans can you stay a week for $50 night during Mardi Gras? We would stay here anytime.
Really nice campground about 5 miles off Interstate I-95. Worth the drive nice and quiet. Used our camp club for $15 a night several others available for that rate. 45 minutes from Charleston, great for visiting city and other surrounding cities. Only complaint Wi-Fi is very slow but basics could be done and a modem available in nice laundry room. Staff was very friendly. Definitely would stay here again.
We stayed here for almost 3 months while working at Amazon for the Holiday season. Owners are in their 3rd year and do all they can to accommodate you. There are a lot of regulars at this campground and all are very friendly. The sites can be difficult for leveling or entering with big rigs, but expansion is in the planning. Some sites are shaded and some are more open. Workampers for Amazon are here from mid October to the end of December. No live-ins, very family oriented. I would stay here anytime I was in the area.
This a beautiful RV park although no pull throughs. Should be for the price. We could have stayed cheaper in a local motel in this off season. Stayed one night, was all that was open. Will say if you have the money can't get much better. Large full concrete pad about 20' x 60' pull in. River view and landscaping.
Beautiful state park with nice RV sites. The only thing is there is periodic dredging by the federal government which closes the beach by the ocean sites. Was disappointed but park personnel don't even know when it will happen or how long. Machines and pumps ran all night, was cooler so we didn't hear as much but would be disturbing in warmer weather. Nice fishing pier and the old fort is interesting. Would stay here again.
This is an old campground that once was the top of its class but has been let go. Everyone was friendly except for one person. There are a lot of permanent residents and many seasonals. All were nice and we had no problems. We stayed here for a month. Wi-Fi in the office, only some reception if close by. Level sites on grass, few concrete patios. Mostly shaded, open space in far back. To bad it is rundown, could be nice. Bring a boat and fish the St John. Still I would stay here again.
