This is a great KOA. Nice facilities and grounds, lots of activities for kids, level sites. Our rig fit very nicely, and the roads were easy to maneuver. Wi-Fi OK, but better in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get on and off the highway and there is gas at the exit. Very quiet! The rate reflect 10% KOA discount.
Pretty, shaded campground with very clean facilities and grounds. Sites are close together and both roads and sites are gravel. Our site was pretty level. It's fairly small and very quiet. Probably not great for kids, especially as it does not have a pool. That lack of a pool in Moab's climate kept it from being rated higher by us. Wi-Fi was not great except early in the morning. Another thing to know is that this park is about 5 miles out of town; maybe something to keep in mind. Overall, a very nice park and one of our favorites on this trip.
I like the park, the owner is very friendly and working hard to upgrade it. All utilities functioned well, although wi-fi could have been better. We camped here over 4th of July and it was packed, but things went well and it was very quiet at night. Sites are gravel,, fairly level, but somewhat close together. Showers and bathrooms were clean, the store has limited supplies. We would stay here again. The rate reflects KOA discount.
Easy to get to off of I-80. Sites are long but not much space between. My door opened onto the utilities for the next site. Easy to maneuver in and out. Wireless worked OK, not great but seemed to stay on. Bathrooms are small and older but clean and nice. Very Quiet! Perfect for one night.
Beautiful views, very quiet, free shuttle into town. Roads and sites are gravel and in pretty good shape, sites seem fairly level although not perfect. Bath houses are new, but too far from our site, plus showers were pay-to-play. Wi-Fi VERY inconsistent and we were right next to a repeater. However, this is a great no-frills campground and we enjoyed our stay. Great campground hosts!
When I decided to camp at IMS for the 2014 Indy 500, I could not find any information or reviews for their lots available with electric. All I could find was about the notorious "Coke" lot, which is first-come, first-served, no electricity and 4 nights of mayhem. So, I wanted to write this review in order that first time campers might have some insight into the camping options at IMS with electric. We stayed in lot 3P, which is a paved parking lot on 16th street directly across from the Speedway. When I arrived, we were greeted, then a staff member escorted us to a site and connected our electricity. Electricity was provided through onsite generators which ran 24 hours a day. Although this noise was constant, we get used to it and overall, ,the noise level was more than acceptable. We went to bed every night by 11:00 and had no trouble sleeping. For those who needed it, fresh water delivery was available and onsite sewage pump outs as well. This was not a luxury camping experience by any means, but our expectations were exceeded in terms of convenience and atmosphere. We walked to the track in a couple of minutes and enjoyed our neighbors without having to deal with out of control partying. Please understand, there was plenty of good times happening in this lot, but things stayed reasonable and ended each evening at a reasonable hour. We had a spot reserved and 24 hour staff onsite. It was a bit pricey, but worth every penny in terms of convenience.
We arrived late at night and had to walk across a street and a parking lot to check in at the convenience store next to a bar. The site was a full hookup site and nicely level with a concrete pad for us to step onto from the rig. It was quiet and the facilities were very nice and clean. Interior roads were a little rough, but we did not have any trouble maneuvering. Other than the price, we were happy with our experience and it was perfect for one night. Also easy to get on and off I-77.
