We stayed here 5 days along with our in-laws while moving our son into ORU. As the others said, it is mainly a mobile home park but the RV sites are nice, shaded with plenty of parking. Easy access to I-44 to get where ever you want to go in the Tulsa area. The pool was very nice and clean. Didn't find a bathroom area except near the office. Wi-Fi is available but only from the laundry room (located next to the office and pool). No problems receiving DTV. The park was well kept and the staff friendly. We will definitely be staying here again.
We camped here one night as we came through GA. The park seemed nice enough and the sites average. Our low overall rating is a reflection of the price paid compared to other state parks and private parks. We were charged $24 to camp plus $5 for the park entrance fee! We never been "double" charged in other states. Earlier in the week, we stayed at a very nice park in Mississippi for $17. It had level, paved sites. This park's sites were not level and not paved. Only 4 of the sites were occupied. Maybe the price is keeping people away. We will not stay at this park again (or other GA state parks) at this kind of price.
We stayed here one night on the way through and what a treat! We selected one of the riverfront sites. After grilling outside we settled in to watch for tug boats and barges. We noticed that everyone disappeared into their RV's when the sun went down. The other poster was correct: numerous mosquito's attacked like Pearl Harbor. After making adjustments, we sat well into the night watching the tugs. Each site was angled to allow for a good view of the Mississippi. They have separate sections for motorhomes and 5th wheels to maximize their respective views. The only drawback at this park was limited Wi-Fi connectivity. We would definitely stay here again and for more than one night.
We stayed here one night as we passed through Tupelo. It is a small campground circled around the bathroom and laundry room. The sites were spacious, level and paved. The park ranger was friendly and patrolled quite often giving a feeling of security. The facilities are dated, but very clean. Landscaping was very nice. Our parents were with us in a motorhome and neither of us had any problems with the electricity or water. Although somewhat off the beaten path, we would definitely stay here again.
We have camped here numerous times. This is the place we come to just relax. Very spacious sites. Outstanding staff and grounds. Restrooms are the cleanest we have ever seen and each is it's own individual bath house. Easy trips to the busy Myrtle Beach areas. Wi-fi and satellite worked easily. We enjoyed biking and walking the lake path. Super nice pool.
This is a super nice city park. My son and I camped here for a local soccer tournament in July as we did in 2008. There are shaded sites, it is quiet, with a very pretty lake, and friendly staff. I was able to get satellite TV. Cell phone coverage was spotty. It would be perfect if Wi-fi was available. There is a small store with limited supplies. There is a Walmart and Lowes about 15 minute drive. You can't beat the price/value.
