We stayed here for 1 month, commuting to work before hitting the road full time. We chose the park for it's location, but probably will look elsewhere next time we're in the area. We were in the Z loop. Sites were large enough, with a large grassy area behind us. Internet was strong (we were near a repeater), but water pressure was weak. Roads were dirt, and our vehicles and RV were constantly covered with a layer of dust. Access road to the park is dirt, also. Rate reflects monthly stay, not including electric.
This is our RV Park of choice for visiting Shipshewana. Sites are decent, but close together. Restroom and laundry room are clean. Our sons did not like the showers because they are the push button/non-adjustable temperature type. Price is a little high for what you get, but the location is good. No discounts offered, but we do now have a free night banked from our 6-night stay. We'll be back.
Rate reflects Passport America discount for 2 of 3 nights. We stayed in the upper level of the campground in a pull through site. We could only stay 3 nights because they were booked for the weekend for Halloween. The site was plenty big for our 43 ft. big rig, but not quite level, side to side. Owner and staff were very friendly. Fishing pond in the middle of the loop is very pretty. Sites are a little close, especially when full. As we were leaving, the weekend crowds were filing in and it was getting crowded. It's a nice park for a short stay. Close to Cincinnati, OH.
Rate is an average of weekday/weekend rates and reflects AAA discount. We were in the H Loop -- pull through sites with 50amp plus water, but no sewer. The site was long but curved and a little difficult for our big rig to maneuver. Especially, with all the trees in the area,a tight curve at the end of the loop, and leaves covering the parking pad. The full hookup sites in the D loop would definitely have been better for us, but they were all reserved/full. Wi-Fi was available for a fee, but we did not use it. Halloween festivities were going on at the time which was great for the kids. A local "lion dog" roams the campground. He's very friendly, but intimidating to our dog. Overall it was a nice state park, and we would stay here again if we could get in the D loop.
Rate reflects Passport America discount. We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The Management/Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The woman who checked us in felt that we might have trouble with the site assigned to us so she had us drive around and look at some alternates. We ended up selecting a different site. The roads are gravel and drain well (we had 1 day of rain). Community fire pits are convenient to the 50 amp sites. The laundry was very clean and well-maintained. Nice Clubhouse, too. Several of the amenities were unavailable. We had to go get a picnic table from where they were being cleaned/re-stained. We felt there should have been more of an off-season price, but they were the only RV Park offering PA discount in October and for more than one day. Overall a nice park. We would definitely stay here again.
