We tried to get a reservation at the other local parks but they were full. We picked this place based on their website and the nice service we received on the phone. The only positive I can say is that it has full hookups if you are desperate. It was VERY dirty - our site was filled with old cigarette butts. The grass was dead. There is no security at all and we were placed 25 feet from the main street. They advertise WiFi on their Marquee, however the office staff claimed to not understand computers and were unable to provide me with the secure passcode. It appears to be long term residents. The residents do not keep up their rigs and partied until all hours. I would drive up the road to the next town if I got in this situation again.

Some sites are VERY tight. We had to request a change because we could pull through, but once someone would be behind us, we would be stuck and unable to exit. It irritates me when campgrounds charge extra - we have 3 children and had to pay more. Also, they advertise WiFi - but it is VERY sketchy from most sites and I had to literally go sit by the hub at times. The management was very nice though and the kids loved the accommodations. We would come back here, but will choose our site wisely.

This park is a great location and has so much to do that is water related! Our group loved the Mustang Water Slides (additional fee) and the nature boat ride. Rangers are friendly and very knowledgeable. Wildlife abounds and our kids got a kick out of the deer that came within feet of our site. The main downside this year is that there is a HUGE yellowjacket bee problem. Many people in our group were stung. This is out of the ordinary and we hope it clears up!

This is a nice clean campground and good location. This campground is NOT near Rogue River at all, as stated in the website. It is adjacent to the Siuslaw River in Florence, Oregon. This is about 3 hours away from Rogue River.

We had a fabulous week here - the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The park is clean and the sites are a good size. The kids loved the playgrounds and the pool. There are lots of activities and the location is within 10 to 30 minutes of all San Diego attractions! The only reason that I can't give it a 10 is the ant problem - bring your Ajax and you should be good to go!

This was a clean and very friendly RV park. We stayed towards the back and had very little freeway noise. The grassy area was great for the kids. The pool was nice and clean. We will definitely be back. We have stayed in another park close to Disney - this is a better choice in my book. It's a bit farther, but it doesn't have that "parking lot" feel of an urban park.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our camping club used the clubhouse - it was well appointed. The sites are a nice size and there was lots of shade. The best part were the camp hosts and other workers. This is one friendly group!!!

This was our second trip here - we stayed for a week. It is so clean, so friendly and so much fun! Our kids didn't want to leave. It is no more than 25 minutes to any local destination - and we went in many directions! I cannot recommend this place enough. Cell phone reception can be hard in certain sites. Ants are a problem. Bring Ajax and it does the trick no problem!

This is a fabulous location, no doubt. And, for those who are set up for it, and truly like to "dry camp," this is the place. I recommend the front and middle rows. The sand along the back row is used as a dog run. Yuck. The down side is that the sites are so close that we could barely breathe due to generator exhaust, we heard more traffic noise than ocean at night, dogs are not allowed on the beach, and the showers are not convenient.

This RV park was clean and lots of fun for our kids. We camped here with our camping group and paid extra for premium sites. For the price we paid, I would expect the premium sites to be paved and level. They were neither. In addition, we have 3 children. I resent campgrounds who make us pay more because of that. We had to pay per child, extra. I agree with previous reviewers: book the premium sites or deluxe sites west of the office or you'll be near the long term sites that are not kept up nicely at all and you will barely have room to breathe outside of your site.

We have searched high and low for good campgrounds with plenty to do in SoCal. This park is GREAT! It's clean, the people are super friendly and helpful, and our kids had a ball with all of the activities, playgrounds, etc. We are going back for an extended stay this summer. The online reservations let you pick exactly which site you'd like - we LOVED the Willow Loop close to the clubhouse!

Okay: if you are going to bring your RV and visit Disneyland, this is the closest place to Disney that I would recommend. The staff was SO friendly and SO helpful! They are some of the best we've encountered. The facilities were sparkling. Bad news. The sites are extremely narrow. Couldn't put our awning all the way out. The Wi-Fi isn't free and that's a personal pet peeve of mine. They need to advertise that it isn't free so we know in advance! There is some street noise, but it wasn't bad and that's what comes with urban camping. We'd stay here again no problem. It's very close and central to all Orange County attractions.

This is an overpriced, run down campground. The corporate owners seem to care more about money than the appearance and comfort of campers. The inside roads are run down and full of potholes. I paid $45 for a 10 minute "haunted hayride" with my 3 children. There were no tables or fire rings at the sites. People in our group had their electricity interrupted repeatedly. Security did nothing to stop children 12 and under from driving golf carts. We witnessed several near miss accidents! We will never go back.

I agree with previous reviews. This is a very nice park - very clean and great hands-on managers. We can't wait to go back and spend more time. Our kids loved the pool and fishing pond. Also, there are lots of trails for easy hikes and mountain biking. My only complaint is that they charged us extra because we have 3 children - a family of 5 vs. 4 shouldn't have to pay more in my opinion.

This was our second trip here and it's definitely gone downhill. Although it's out of their control, the estuary that borders the access to the beach was smelly and disgusting with trash. Ugh! We drove to other area beaches after one hike in. The laundry room was riddled with broken down machines and I had to drive in to town to do my laundry. The water main broke and was shut down for several hours 2 out of the 5 days of our stay - this also happened on our stay in 2005. They've raised their prices to prohibitive levels for the bike rentals. A couple of sites in our group could not use awnings due to trees and the office is very difficult about site changes. For the high price they charge, I would expect much better.

The campground includes a waterpark that offers special pricing for campers. We loved our stay here: good fishing and lots to do if you love water sports. There are great trails and tons of wild life! We had deer and wild turkeys within 10 feet of our site. My only complaint is that too many people do not follow the posted speed limits. Cell phone reception is extremely limited.

We love this campground! There are trails, fishing pond, playground and paved roads for the kids. It's close to town and only 10 minutes to the beach. Rangers were very accommodating and helpful.

This KOA is sparkling clean and the staff is very friendly and overall exceptional. Our kids were very happy with the playground, arcade, and pool. We would definitely go back here. The only reason for a 9 vs. a 10 is that some of the sites have lots of nighttime freeway noise - not a problem if you are in a hardside RV. We heard a lot in our hybrid.

We loved our stay here. We stayed in a premium site behind the gates and easily fit 4 trailers on sites 2 and 3 to form a group camp. It was waterfront and everyone caught fish. There are huge catfish, trout, bass and bluegill. It is definitely isolated and you feel like you are getting away from it all. We'll be back.

We absolutely loved our time here! There is so much to do and the beachcombing is awesome!

This was way too primitive and desolate for our taste. We endured a wind storm that made us abandon our trailer in the middle of the night because it was lifting up off of its jacks. The kids were not allowed in the indoor pool and the outdoor pool was closed during our stay.

We had a great time during our stay here. Easy access to the beach, great bathrooms and plenty of quiet privacy.

Great campground for a day or two stopover. The bathrooms in the main building were the nicest I have ever seen hands down in a campground. We had trouble with internet access and a little too much highway noise.

Great family campground. Excellent bathrooms and laundry. A little expensive for us and the wifi didn't work while we were there. We prefer Fort Stevens State Park, which is across the street.

Nice, clean stopover campground. Very nice owners. Too close to the train for our taste, but our neighbors in a fifth wheel said it wasn't bad.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. Our kids LOVED the playground and the fishing/swimming pond. Weekly rates are very reasonable. The laundry was wonderful and so clean! The bathrooms were decent, but could use some updating. They were not always as clean as I like, but still reasonable, nontheless.

This is the best KOA we have ever stayed at! It had everything close and so much to do for the kids! We really appreciated the pancake breakfast, the nightly movies in their little theater and the water slide was a huge hit with the kids! It's very close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. There is so much to do in this area...we wish we had stayed a week rather than 4 nights.

This park had everything we needed for a fun, relaxing stay. There is even free coffee, cappucino, and hot chocolate in a nice lounge in the AM. Awesome laundry facilities, playground and bathrooms. It is extremely close to the west entrance of Yellowstone. We would return again in a heartbeat!

This campground shares a neighborhood with a trailer park and had lots of long termers. The bathrooms were not as clean or nice as advertised and we had to carry a pass to use the pool - which was inconvenient. We had a spot over a sewer lid and could smell the evidence each morning. We also had the dumpster on our site, so we had vagrants rummaging through the dumpster for cans, etc. while we ate dinner with our three small kids. My husband was also approached for money by another man while walking in the area. We never did see any security that was advertised - only a phone number to call. The so-called hiking trail was not convenient or easy to find and the office help was cool at best and rude at worst. I wouldn't stay there again if it was offered to me free!
