We camped here for a week with friends. The campground was kept up well. The showers and bathroom were very clean. The Wi-Fi was very good. The wood they sold was reasonably priced and dry. The roads could be in better condition. The managers were friendly and helpful. We plan on staying there again next year. The only bad thing is there are only a few full service lots. The rest just have water and electric.
It is a beautiful camp way out in the country. The grass sites are large and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The are many seasonal sites. We camped here with a large group and we plan on returning next year. The only problem is there are not many restaurants or stores in the area.
This is one of the most beautiful state parks in Michigan. The lots are large and many of them are quite private. There are many trees, walking trails, and bike trails. The beach on Lake Huron is beautiful and well maintained. We stayed here for a week and will return again next year.
Friendly staff and polite with phone reservation. It appeared to be a big family camp with many activities for kids. Very narrow dirt roads with large pot holes which flooded when it rained and caused a lots of mud. Grass lot was pretty level but poor drainage and also had standing water when it rained. Camped here for two days to attend a wedding. Low rating cause of the condition of the roads.
The park is well maintained and nicely landscaped. The man who checked us in was friendly and polite. The lots are extremely close together. Our picnic table was less than 3 ft. from the sewer hose of the adjacent lot. There was wireless internet but the connection was very slow and frequently went down. The somewhat larger lots are 1-9. This is the second time we have stopped here on our way home from Florida because of the location.
