If you're looking for a Resort or lots of amenities, then this is not the place for you. We enjoyed it as we don't require much and it is quite close to the Soo Locks and day trips to Eastern U.P. of Michigan. If you like Casino's this is the place to stop. They gave each of us, my husband and I, 3 free nights of camping which would have been $10.00 for each night and they have promotions that are pretty good too. The Manager is a very nice person and quite accommodating. Their showers and bathrooms are nice and very clean. They do have a single washer and dryer in the Ladies Room. We came in for 2 nights and stayed 4 due to taking the day trips.
We made the reservation for 2 nights and extended for 1 night upon arrival. Met other folks that had to move if they extended. Great location to go to Mackinaw Island and we did that and to visit two Lighthouses. Park is very family friendly, but if you don't like to be around kids, don't go. We had no complaints and didn't use any of their facilities. Wi-Fi is not free. Beautiful Sunset the first night, the remaining two were nothing to brag about.
We stayed here for 4 nights to weather out TS Irene. The manager was great about communicating and accommodating us. The site had W/E (30 amp), sewer and cable TV. The Wi-Fi was strong, but had to be reset often. We'd go back to this park for a short stay. Shediac is advertised as the Lobster Capital of Canada.
This is a very basic park. The sites are long and wide. We were in very soft ground due to all the rain that they had. No amenities at all,but is a good base camp if you are sightseeing the area. We did take a quick trip to Joggins the afternoon we arrived and the next day to Springhill and Parrsboro. No Wi-Fi, but across the street is the visitors center with Wi-Fi. Access road could use some repair due to all the rain. The Manager was very helpful.
We made reservations through C2C and thus the rate of $10. We were fortunate to get a site that would accommodate our 43' Motor Home. The manager was exceptional and so accommodating. We arrived prior to the holiday weekend and it really filled up over the weekend. The restrooms and showers were spotless. Wi-Fi was very fast. Pool was clean, but we did not use it. This park has had some bad reviews in the past, but I found it to be a great place to stay. Few amenities, but we do not need to be entertained. It is so convenient to doing the Cabot Trail and also did a day trip to Louisbourg. We'd come back to this park.
We stayed here for our first 6 nights after arriving in Canada. Very accommodating and welcoming. It appears that their activities for the season had ended before we arrived, but did have a good Jam Session on Friday, our last night. We enjoyed watching the Tides rise and fall on the Bay of Fundy and they are so convenient to the sights in the area such as Caves and Fundy Trail. We'll be stopping back on our way out of Canada.
