Basically a field with hook ups added. A decent park if you are just passing through, or have a destination in the area. We were just passing through and needed a quick place to stop in. It fit the bill perfectly for that. A moderate amount of highway noise, but we were able to cover most of it with fans.
One of the nicest state parks I have stayed in. Try and get in the Sagebrush campground if you are only going for the "Texas" show. Some parts of the road are under construction and may be challenging for wider trailers and RV's. Lots to do here. Take at least 3 days to get a decent sampling.
The park seems to be new and is well maintained. We called about an hour out and were met by the campground host, who helped set up our trailer. They even put our awning in for us when we were away from the site and storm blew in. We only stayed 2 nights, but most of the other residents seem to be longer term. There is a fair amount of train traffic nearby, but we ran a fan all night and that seemed to cover it well enough. We would come back again.
