Located at 7100' elevation. Pretty drive to get there, but the road is narrow & hilly. Watch for tree branches that hang over the road. The campground offers tall mature trees, but there is no privacy between sites. Sites are generally smaller - could be difficult to find available sites that fit RVs larger than 36'. Very limited sewer sites are available. Dump station (free) and honey wagon ($25) are available. Decent Verizon cell service available at the top of the park. Some tourist shopping is available in town.
Large RV park. Tents are allowed, although a few tent-only sections are permanently closed due to lack of use/maintenance. Many power pedestals are in very poor condition. Some sites are closed due to poor power - and are marked. Dirt roads create a lot of dust - even when a squirrel runs across. Nearly all sites that had any views were taken by seasonal/annual residents. The lodge was locked-up and closed in April. Laundry was very clean. A little convenience store is on-site. Pools are available, but a long distance from some areas of the park. Limited shopping in town.
Not much more than a parking lot on the ocean, but very convenient to the city. Very tight parking spots. Many rusted trailers been there a long time. Premium sites with ocean views available, but with dry camping only. Small pool & hot tub available. Decent store with camping supplies on-site. Computer available for guest use. Clean (but expensive) laundry. If you have a rig larger than 32', call to reserve a specific spot big enough - otherwise, you may not fit. If you arrive after 5pm, staff is gone for the night - they leave your registration material at the door for you. Great drinking water. Rate reflects www.ReadyCampGo.com membership.
Located 5 miles from Yosemite National Park. 30 amp, water & sewer available at sites. Just installed 50amp sites in June, 2014. Some shaded sites along fish-able river. Numerous sites in open areas. Non-TT members stay in separate area. Extremely poor, terribly slow WiFi, even in the lodge. No cell service available. Need to drive 20 miles to Groveland for service. Convenience store with over-priced essentials located on-site. Enjoyed our stay and would return.
Big swimming pool, some sites are shaded, some sites have 50 amp ($5/day extra), outdoor movies on summer Friday nights. Most sites are close together. Roads are dirt and create a lot of dust. No sewer @ site - dump station (free) & honey wagon ($25) is available. Power failed at pedestal. Maintenance had to fix it twice. Camp fires allowed in your own portable fire pit only if conditions are not too dry. See wild turkeys at dusk in field next door. Will not accept mail. All is returned to sender.
CAUTION: VERY LOW VOLTAGE - can damage your electrical equipment when you plug in. Voltage dropped down to 97 - had to unplug from pedestal and run inverter from batteries to watch TV. 50amp sites and sewer sites are extremely limited - none were available. Otherwise, nicely wooded park, generally private sites, big pool, hot tub, bathrooms/showers seemed clean, dirt roads. Close to town and Fred Meyers & Safeway for shopping. Sand dunes just down the street. Verizon is weak, but workable. Won't return until electricity is fixed.
