Spent a single night here passing through. Clean, well cared for park with large pull through sites. Onsite cafe, lake and walking trail. Great WiFi connection! Rest rooms / bath houses were exceptionally clean and well maintained. We will stay here again on our way back through.
WOW! If you're traveling I-10 through northern Florida spend a night here! A new park, all new utilities and level spots. Only 2 miles off of I-10, but you're in the country! The only noise is birds, cicadas and crickets! But the on ramp to I-10 is just down the road.
Good place for an overnight. It's literally right off of I-10, so highway noise is somewhat of a issue. However, the park was very shady, clean, well kept. All utilities worked well. I'd stay here again.
Another Gem! My wife and I were just passing through and doing an overnight, but I could see us coming back. Centrally located to the Texas hill country, Austin, and San Antonio! Exceptional sites, very shady, close to the highway but no traffic noise. The management was customer oriented, and there are at least 6 restaurants within a short walk. If you're in central Texas...STAY HERE!
Nice place to stop over night. The manager was very informed and helpful, and changed us to a spot that allowed us to keep our toad connected. The restrooms were clean. Although there were previous complaints about dogs and trains, we experienced none of those. Not a vacation spot but a decent overnight.
This is a great place to stay while vacationing in the Salt Lake City Area. The staff was knowledgeable and very customer oriented. The park itself is well shaded with many trees. The shower house / restrooms were kept immaculate! Extra amenities included an all you can eat pancake breakfast for $2.50, and a free shuttle down to Temple Square. I would return here in a minute.
Everything about Custer State Park enhanced my vacation experience! This has got to be one of the Top 5 Parks I've ever been to! The campgrounds were clean, well serviced, and quiet. The Campground hosts were friendly, and knowledgeable. This is, in my opinion, the GOLD standard in State Park camping.
This place IS a destination resort! Yes, the Black Hills of South Dakota are great too, however this is a resort that you could bring your family to, and NOT leave! From the $2.50, all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts every morning, the extremely clean shower houses and bathrooms, to the Fantastic Cowboy Chuckwagon Dinner show. Even if you don't want to visit Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial, or See Buffalo in Custer State park: camp here!
Stayed here to meet the South Dakota residency requirements, apply for a driver's license, and register our motorhome. Park was clean and well shaded. Sites were large. Had both cable TV (300 channels) and WiFi. Although the restrooms and showers were old, they were very clean. Great place to stop on your way through Sioux Falls. Not a place for the family.
6 words: Traffic noise; Dirty restrooms and showers! That's just the begining. There are a lot of permanent / member campers here. Quite a few of them are not well kept, along with their sites. Also, although the owner is a Good Sam Club member, he decided to not accept the Good Sam Club member discount because there was a NASCAR Race in town. What a Gouging! I wouldn't minded paying full price so much if the park wasn't so bad.
Wow! What a great camping experience! First, the campground is set about 1.8 miles off of I-80. Their add says, "All you'll hear are the birds in the nearby meadow chirping," and boy are they right! Easy access off of I-80 and QUIET! Second, the owners / managers are extremely customer oriented and friendly to the customers. I felt like I was camping in a relative's backyard! Third, this campground and the bathroom/ shower facilities were extremely clean. I'd not only stay here because I'm traveling, but I'd consider this a good location to just get away. Put this one on your list if your traveling I-80 through Iowa!
This campground was a real treat to stay at! The way we were treated, it was like staying at a very costly resort park. First, the staff was extremely customer centered. The check-in process was quick, friendly, and efficient. The sites were clean, well manicured, and ours had a very nice concrete patio area with s small manicured flowerbed. The bath and shower house was very clean. I'd stay here again ANY DAY!
This Park was easy to find. The sites were laid out well and easy to pull into. The facilities were phenomenally clean! Detractors were the proximity of the Interstate combined with the highway noise. I'd recommend this site as an excellent one night stay, on your way through Cincinatti. However, not a place to "summer vacation" with the family.
