VERY TOUGH to park a large rig. If you do go the wrong way and the back in. Pet fee (not in 2008 Trailer life) is $3 per dog per day. The sewer connections are raised and the connectors must be raised to empty the water. Also make sure you have extensions on your sewer connectors as you will need it. Spaces are very tight and the train tracks are 100 feet from the sites. Highway 1 is 100 feet on the other side. They have shared fire rings. It is very crowded on the summer weekends making the pool area almost unusable. Trash cans are at the ends of each section.

Offer Wi-Fi but it only works near office. Train close by. No TV with antenna. Very crowded spaces and parking is tight. Only 5-7 spaces for over nighters as most seem long term. Dog run is 10 by 60 and the bags are not available but they do have a scooper. No amenities. Rec room is 2 couches. Seems safe but I am uncertain.

This is a mediocre park. We camped on the asphalt and had a tough time getting level. As stated above, there are no trees or shade and no extras. It is OK for a one night stop.

This is a very good park. We paid for a week at $57 but got the last day free. It is expensive especially during the off season. My problems were the wifi was just adequate and the staff should have told us to drive to the Metro Station on the weekends as it is free to park. It is a short drive instead of taking the hour long bus ride. The restaurant is very good and convenient. The breakfast is a "best buy".

The park workers stated they were not officially open but there were other overnighters and a few permanents using the grounds. We used Passport America. The ratings were low because the free wifi did not work unless you moved to an outside table; laundry was closed; bathroom smelled and was not clean; staff was not friendly; and tree branches were in desparate need of cutting as we scratched our motorhome exiting the park. The other thing which bugged me was having to pay for the showers, which we declined at $.25 for a small amount of minutes.

The price was Passport America for the entire 5 days. The positives are the lake, paddle boats, and mini golf for free. The free wifi was very sporadic in the areas away from the office. The spa was broken the entire time we were there. here are a lot of permanent residents and there homes are just adequate. The place is safe and there is security. It is just an average place but probably better in the summer.

We stayed for 1 week with a cost of $218 including the taxes. This is a newer park and is now called Pontchutrain Landing. They have a free shuttle to the French Quarter and it is well worth it as parking is $20 a day if you can find it. The negatives are the area(its in an industrial area-a yacht building company and a tough neighborhood to shop) and the pot-holed road to the park. There is noise from the RR track. It is safe and clean and patrolled by the Harbor Police. We would stay there again. The wifi was sporadic but the staff was excellent-a 10+.

This is not a resort. The rally (recreation) room was being remodeled, the basketball court was less than a free throw line and there was no spa. The bathrooms did not smell clean. The Wi-Fi was very slow. After the rains there were puddles all over and they did not drain while we were there. The positives are that the managers were nice; they had a free book exchange; they were building a new bridge; and they lent you a CD/tape of the military park tour. The dog park is grass and very large but it also pools water during the rainy times.

The management was very nice and helpful. The main road was being graded to get rid of the puddles and the other roads were probably going to be worked on. The price includes Passport America plus $2 for wi-fi. The main draw back is the freeway noise, and when they are full, the tight spaces. The bathrooms were older, had a big crack and were very humid after a shower. There are many permanent residents yet the park seemed safe to me.

The owner is nice and helpful. The park has no bathrooms. There are no amenities. There is a new laundry. It is a safe, clean park.
