Excellent destination type park. Restrooms, showers, pool all extremely clean and well cared for. Probably the nicest landscaping and lawn of any park we have stayed at. Large playground for children. Across the road from Michigan Adventure Land and a close enough drive to all of Muskegon sights and activities. We will definitely be returning.
One of the nicest restroom shower house facilities you could want. Office had any information needed for a visit to Santa Fe. Campground maybe lacked a little in upkeep of the sites, but it's in basically a desert so I'm not sure how much more they could do. Our only complaint was that we could not connect to the WiFi. When I talked to the office his comment was that it's not on his end so there wasn't anything he could do. Other than that instance the staff was friendly and helpfull. We looked at several of the other parks when we were driving around and would recommend this one if you are in the area.
One of the nicest parks we have ever stayed at. We were planning on staying just overnight, but after finding that the truck had mechanical problems after stopping, we spent the next 7 days. The staff could not of been more helpful in trying to help us in any manner possible while our truck was being fixed. The campground is extremely clean, well located to all the area attractions (we saw them all), and easy to access from the interstate. There was some noise from the interstate, but again it is easy to access from the interstate. We would stay here again.
Stopped for an overnight stay while traveling and has good access from interstate. Staff was very friendly and escorted us to our site. Sites were gravel but seemed to be fairly level. They do not have cable and satellite would not work do to trees. Offered to let us have another site but since we were staying only for the night we decided not to bother moving. We would stay here again, but just as an overnight stop.
This is one of the nicer Indiana State Parks we have stayed in. The campground is very large but quite spread out so it is easy to get an area with privacy. Some of the sites are unlevel so you just need to be cautious when looking for a site. The on-line reservation system the state uses does a good job of describing each site and they appear to be fairly accurate. The shower houses are a somewhat outdated but the campground hosts were checking and cleaning them at least three times a day. There is one area of the campground that has full hook-up and the remainder has electric only. There is a nice beach/swimming area but unfortunatley it is to far away from the campground to be able to walk to. We would stay here again anytime we are in the area.
This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in and would highly recommend anytime you are visiting this area. While the campground is in a commercial area it is extremely quiet and we had no problem with noise. Bathrooms and showers were always clean as was the laundry area. We would stay here again if in the area.
This is a actually a county owned parked not a state park. While the park area is fairly well maintained I cannot say the same for the campground. Most of the sites are unlevel, overgrown, and the sewer/water connections are poorly maintained. The shower houses are somewhat outdated and while cleaned every morning they were extremley dirty by the end of the day. There has been a new shower house built in the permanet camping area that seemed to be nicer than the two in the main campground. While this used to be one of our favorite campgrounds given its present condition we will not be back.
