Well, it is a beautiful campground, no question about it, but I don't think it's worth $65/night. $10 extra to park next to a pond. Very quiet, clean and friendly. We enjoyed a free strawberry social and a Friday afternoon happy hour while we were here. There was also a $5.00 Saturday morning breakfast.

A very nice campground. We were in the first pull through row on a corner and the traffic was very heavy. If I was to go back I would request a site in the second row, center. They only offer pull through sites in the first two rows. There are a lot of seasonal campers but it's one of the nicest parks I've been to with this many seasonal campers. Lots of traffic in and out especially on the weekend when all the dune buggies are there. It was better after dark. Our rate was based on a weekly rate.

Our second stay at this park and love it. Clean, comfortable and affordable. It's a little off the beaten path (I-30) but not too bad.

What a GREAT park. An oasis along the concrete hwy. The sites are a little tight but not too bad. I had no problem with the 40' motor home and 24' trailer. We'll definitely stay here again.

Rate based on a 3 month stay. Love this park for all the reasons mentioned. Hate the interstate noise when the wind blows out of the south. I know that can't be helped but please, please fix the Wi-Fi. This was our fourth stay here and I think the Wi-Fi gets worse every time.

Fantastic State Park. Internet was still unavailable on site but they are working on that. We were very lucky to get a site without a reservation. In the right place at the right time.

We have never stayed at a nicer park. Love everything about it. This is our third stay and we plan to come back again. Reservations for March is a must.

The park has gravel roads and is very dusty if it is dry. Some of the camp sites are a bit narrow. We used the shuttle service to get down town and liked that very much. Wish they offered a few more trips. We would have liked to go down town in the early afternoon one day and we had to take a cab back one evening. There is some heavy construction on a levee near the park and we were kept awake by the noise of a pile driver all night long, one night while we were there. Not the park's fault but an annoyance just the same.

An oasis in the middle of the chaos that is Houston. The traffic getting there was a nightmare. We enjoyed our stay while visiting friends who live near by. Very accommodating staff.

We like to use this park on our way south. Easy on and off I-75, very friendly and helpful staff. The pull through sites are plenty long and easy to get in and out of. Some of the interior gravel roads could use a bit of stone and some grading to fill in some low spots that were full of water due to a recent rain.

A great new park. We liked everything except for the train traffic 24/7. They start blowing the horn at one end of town and don't stop until they reach the other. It was very hard for us to get a good nights sleep. I finally resorted to wearing ear plugs. This is the only reason I wouldn't come back. Our price reflected a first time camper one month special rate.
