PA rate ($12.50) is good only two nights. This campground is definitely "old" Florida....dirt roads, sandy sites, "permanent" campers, lot of trees. You get the idea. The office store is one of the best stocked stores I've seen in a small campground with lots of RV stuff. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Satellite TV is a little tricky depending on site location. About 5 or so miles from Cedar Key proper. Dollar General about 2 miles away as well as local seafood restaurant. Sites are a little close to each other.

This is a small campground (not a Resort for sure) that has the basics (water, electric, sewer), fairly level, large sites, no pads, and golf (if you play it's a bargain). It has a bar with liquor and beer. There are no trees or shade. There is Wi-Fi available, a clear view of the southern sky (Dish network), friendly staff (husband and wife who just bought the campground in July of 2011), and a lot of possibilities. Apparently the golf course carries the entire "resort" but doesn't leave much money for improvements to the campground. Owners seem earnest in trying to upgrade the place. It's a good overnight stop close to I-75 and if you play golf or want to just get off the beaten path, this is it. Passport America rate has no stay restrictions. We've been here two nights and a lot of the rigs that were here when we arrived are still here. This place could be excellent in a few years as improvements are made. Campground needs to have shade trees planted now so that they will make a difference in a few years. We'll come back.

Highlands Wheel Estates is a old classic, Florida mobile home park/RV park. The management team are excellent hosts with a great knowledge of the Sebring area. Although old, the park is very clean, the pool is great, and the sites are fairly big. Some sites have shade. There are lots of activities for residents. Laundry room is clean and prices are very reasonable. There is a roomy clubhouse with kitchen. Many sites are occupied year round and the park is full during the winter season. Our rate was based on Passport America. Sebring has every type of store you can ask for, including 2 RV/camping stores a little north of town on U.S. 27. We are here for 2 weeks and will be back for even longer next time

J.R. is adequate but not exceptional. About half of the "park" is not used and looks pretty bad. Sites do have 20, 30, and 50 amp power service, water (low pressure as is all the keys), and sewer. There are no activities here other than dock fishing and snorkeling. Marathon is the address but you are really about 6 or 7 miles north of Marathon. Some shade in certain spots. Gulf side spots are very close to water with accompanying salt water spray. Passport America is honored for 5 days only and certain spots only. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Owner is out of state. This is a reasonable place to stay if you want full hookups and reasonable rate. Just 60 miles to Key West. We might stay here again if we come down the Keys again.

Older park with lots of park models and manufactured homes. Our site (269) is in the overnight (you know what that means)"strip" even though we stayed for a week. 30 amps service seemed adequate. 50 amp, cable, and Wi-Fi are extra charge. If we had not been given a site with a poured concrete slap, we would have called this a "dirty" campground (you're in the dirt). Lots to do in park, 5-6 miles to Lake Placid proper. Passport America worked for us, otherwise we would not have stayed here.

I did not realize it until we were almost driving in that we had been here before, 3 years ago and this was a c.g. that we put on the "B" list, not again unless we had no other choice. The place is really not too bad, we have just become camping snobs. The sites are mostly not level (on a hill), mostly not paved and mostly dirt and some gravel. We are very unhappy when we have to put our outside rug in dirt. There are no breakers or covers for the 30/50 amp power, plug and pray. Our sewer connection is built into a poured concrete foundation which made it very difficult to use our Rhinoflex but I managed with a rubber donut. Water pressure is similar to other parks. There is much shade which makes satellite finding (Dish) a challenge. I did get the signal finally. Make sure you ask for a satellite "friendly" site if you have a dish. Cable is available on the sites but the picture was horrible. I reported this to the office and they said they would check it for the next camper. There are a lot of pull throughs and this is a one night stop over for many on the way north or south. We have different neighbors every day. The staff is efficient and friendly. The price is typical of over night stops. We are staying for a week and a day for my wife's birthday fun in Savannah which is quite a distance away from the c.g. We are hoping for no rain as this site will be in the path of the water running down the hill. This could be one outstanding c.g. if some money was put into paving the roads, leveling up the sites, and providing paved patios. Still, we've been in worse, but will look elsewhere next time.

We are "owners" here and this is one great campground. Sites are paved with generous wooden decks, table, and grill. All sites are full hookups. The on site managers and office manager are outstanding with excellent service. There are lots of trees so satellite signal is tough to find. Cable TV is provided on all sites. Laundry room is clean as are the machines. Work campers keep this campground immaculate. There is a store and small cafe, swimming pools, water slide, basketball court, tennis court, lake with paddle boats and fishing, and much more. We did not want to leave but our 14 days was gone. We are coming back at least twice before the end of this year. If you can buy in, do so. You will have a great time.

This is our third stay at Lee's and we are already talking about coming back for a month. Lee's is clean, well groomed, convenient to I-75, peaceful, and staffed by excellent manager/owner. Our site has full hookup and a great view of the southern sky for our satellite hookup. Our rate reflects P.A. discount. This is primarily an overnight campground but it's great for a peaceful long stay also. We love it!!!

Rate is for Florida seniors (50% off). This is a large park with many different sized (mostly sandy) sites. We were on site 53 which is huge, private, and paved with good Dish satellite and Verizon wireless reception. Beautiful beach, fishing, bike riding and walking, very close to Ancient City, with a grocery and dollar store nearby. Many fine restaurants are available. If you can, do a drive through first and check out the sites ahead of time. We'll return. Plan ahead as this park stays booked up.
