A nice park due to proximity to beach, dunes and Monterey. The management needs some work. When we checked in, there were kids crying and screaming in the managers office, and that was just the beginning. The office staff huddled outside smoking and crying (at least for the 4 or so days we were there), weird. They are redoing the park, so there is a lot of noise from that and no privacy from the workers. Be sure to call before to make sure your site is not affected. I'm not sure I would stay here again.
A strange park -- lots of full timers and they put the rv'ers in th back along the river. A great location, people are all nice, it's just a strange set up. It is tight getting in, especially for big rigs and larger trailers. I would stay here again on if along the river. The office people were very nice. It is driving distance to wine tasting, dining etc.
It gets a 8 because of its proximity to the freeway and the friendliness of the staff. We came in a little late and was greeted by a very nice man who assisted us to our site. It is a perfect location for an over night. I'm not sure I'd spend a lot of time at this park. If you have kids Boomers is right next door - we did not get any noise from Boomers though. Perfect. A good nights rest and we were back on the road. They give a Good Sam and AAA discount too.
I really enjoy this park. This was our second time here but first time back since they sold off about 1/2 the park, and started to build houses that are not selling. Still a great RV park with beautiful grounds, pool, spa, tennis, golf, flowers, trees, lake, fountains, etc. The east part has a lot of noise in addition to the standard train noises found in most parks, but extra noise due to construction and trucks. Try to get reservation in "older section" or close to clubhouse, that will possibly eliminate some of the extra noise.
Very nice park, great lake views from most sites. Site was clean and had a great lake view with waterfalls, fountains, paddleboats and lots of ducks (so lots of droppings on the walking path around lake). Casino is very smokey and staff not friendly. Had my rig washed and waxed and think I got ripped off. Wish I could remember the name of the company. They did a very poor job. Internet at site does not work. I probably would not return to this RV park.
Great place as a stop over. Would not stay longer. There is no shade. Easy access from 5 freeway going north and south. Stayed here on our way up north and on our way back south. First come, first served. If full, can dry camp in parking lot with all the truckers for free. Self pay check in, lots of pull through sites so you don't even have to unhook tow cars. Casino is nice and clean. Found steak restaurant very good with nice service. Overall a great place.
Nothing special. RV park was very clean and close to town of Whistler. We were there in late June -- the trees shed this white "cotton-like" stuff that looks like snow but is very irritating. Nice walking, biking and hiking available. Many foreign tourists in rented RV's that stay only one night so the turnover is very high - not able to make conversation with other campers at all. Main road in has lots of construction, would not want to make the drive in in the dark. Workers are very good about directing you, some tight driving but overall a beautiful drive into Whistler.
Rating this RV park is very difficult as it depends on your site. Waterfront sites are a 10+, inside sites are not so good. Most sites are gravel, some have grassy patches. Book very early as good sites are often booked one year in advance. Finding using Google is difficult if coming from Nanaimo but once you find the place it is very easy. Seaplanes make all kinds of noise but are nice to watch. Long term I think this would drive me nuts! Would definitely stay here again, but only on a waterfront site. USE water PRESSURE regulators here. Water pressure is varied and electricity is wacked too, so use surge protectors.
