This RV park is tastefully designed and well managed. All personnel were polite, friendly and helpful. The gravel sites are fairly large and most campers are mature adults looking to escape hustle and bustle. A great feature of the park is the relaxing low-light adobe courtyard. For stargazers, the owners have designed the lighting of the property to be low-key. Wi-Fi and cable TV worked well, and the restrooms were spotless. For those campers who might desire a change of scenery, the motel offers duplex cabins that look fantastic. From its retro highway sign to its classy courtyard and personal touches, this is a great stop. The nearby train tracks may bother some, but as a rail fan, it just added to the very cool atmosphere of this business.
The campground is located in a quiet rural area on the shore of Granger Lake, 40 miles northeast of Austin. The lake is quite popular this comfortable time of year with boaters and fishermen. The online reservation system was informative and easy to use, and the gate attendant was friendly and helpful. The pads are level, paved, and spaced far apart, so there is plenty of room. I visited during a very busy time at the lake - spring break - and the bathrooms showed it. They were too nasty to use. Based on the pristine condition of the rest of the park and campground, I imagine this is not the norm. Clean bathrooms and Wi-Fi would have resulted in a score of "8" or "9".
The campground staff are very friendly and helpful. I arrived after dark and the site map was waiting for me. The grounds were clean, as were the bathrooms and showers. Highway noise was an issue in the tent area of the campground, but on the "plus" side, there is a nearby modern truck stop that stocks many items. I will stay here again.
This is a nice campground. It has a great office/store/restaurant, staffed by friendly people who appreciate your business. The grounds were clean, as were the bathrooms and the showers. The campground is in a beautiful spot, and is just minutes from the pretty town of Fredericksburg, PA. I will make this a regular stop between Texas and Maine.
Camping here was a great experience, from start to finish. The person who took my reservation via phone was friendly and polite, and the campground was clean, well laid out, and quiet. Although the office/store was closed when I arrived late, it looked very nice and orderly. The showers and bathrooms are tastefully decorated, modern and clean. This is a well-run business.
This KOA is located in a great spot, near enough to the interstate for easy access, yet far enough away in a wooded area for peace and privacy. It is also just minutes away from the very tasteful historic downtown of Sweetwater. The staff was friendly and the grounds were clean. The bathroom and showers were all in good working order and very clean. I plan on staying here again.
