This was a nice park. The site I got was not as it needed to be properly graded and was the last one available. As I walked around the campground it looks like my site and the one next to me were the only ones like this and I let them know of the repair that the site needed after we got home. The site was not bad enough to cause to not enjoy our stay with all the events that they had going on there. We are planning our trip here next season and hope to take the horse tour of the battlefield when we come back.
This is a nice quiet campground. While the one set of showers were unusable the one in the back was dated but fine. They could use some work to the campground to update it and make it a great campground not just OK. The owner and staff were very friendly and knew you by name when you went in and made us feel at home here. We went with a friend and we both have huge 5th wheels with many slide outs we still had plenty of room around the campers and plenty of room to socialize with one another. It would be nice to see them upgrade to 50 amp service for some of their sites as many of the newer campers require it. They have no cable hook up but my dish picked up easily. We will definitely be back.
Countyline is a great place to camp, boat and enjoy some piece and quiet. We have been coming here off and on since I was a kid, a long time ago, the bath house has plenty of hot water and is clean. The downs are you will need a long hose for water and there is no sewer hook up. Many of the sites are tight to get in with a camper. The sites are water front but they have built retaining walls which while they give you flat areas for tents but they have graveled them so tents are a little tuff. The rates are low unless you choose a site they list as a double site that you pay double fee but the site really isn't big enough for 2 big campers.
We love this place. We go here every summer for a week. It has great amenities, nice sites and is close to the beach. We get the premier sites and it is about a minute walk to the beach. They have 2 pools, a game room and always lots of kids for ours to hang out with. The camp store is lacking but other stores are close. You will need to drive a little to get to things to do but you are away from the hustle and bustle of the upper island which is what we want. If going here I would not come in or go out on Saturdays as that is when house rental weeks begin and will add a lot of time, 2 hours easily, to getting on the first island if coming in from the north.
This was a cute little campground. They have upgraded to some 50 amp sites out in the field. There were no real amenities but but was a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay. There are some seasonal people there and my kids quickly made friends and had a good time with their kids. The people there were very friendly and invited us over to watch a movie on the big screen that they had set up. There is a creek there that the kids play in. The only downs are no sewer hook up but they do have a dump station and the nicer sites only have 30 amp service. We would go there again as it is a nice and low cost campground not too far from home.
