This park is a small park on a hill overlooking a beautiful lake with a boat house and fishing dock. Beautiful sunset and clear sky to see a billion stars. It does have a two lane road in front and at the bottom of the hill but very little night time traffic. We had a picnic table and friendly neighbors. I would of liked to stayed another day to explore, but we needed to leave the next morning. Thanks Mt St Helens RV resort! I logged you in my "book" as my favorite place of all, and we stayed 16 places in 25 days.
Wow, what a blast at St. George Island State Park. Super quiet and close access to a beautiful white sandy beach. The campground host was a kind gentlemen. He told me all about the park and the Native Americans that roamed the shores. He even gave me a sand dollar!! Of all the beaches I have walked, this beach beats them all...miles and miles of white, smooth sand. The only bummer was I could not take my dog on the beach, but it still was a wonderful time there. Thanks SGISP.
What a nice place this was. It's down by the river loaded with salmon. It's nothing fancy; good folks with reasonable rates. Away from the busy cities. We stayed 2 days so we could travel to Seattle. The hosts of the camp were very nice and helped us jump our car. He was super! Quiet and friendly. We had our own bathroom with shower so I did not go into their facilities. Overall we had fun and relaxed and my dogs had fun too!
Shoreline RV we called the Land of NO. First, where is the shore??? No shore. The park was super clean and really, really close to the road. When I called the number I specifically asked about the road noise and the woman said the road noise quiets down after 8 pm. At check in the other lady was really slow and took about 15 minutes to check me in - like I wasn't already tired. The road noise never quieted down. We heard it all night long and that was the worse night's sleep I got on our trip. The laundry facilities were expensive to use. It was $2.00 each for wash and dry. So if you are thinking of this place to spend the night, I would travel down the road a bit and find somewhere else quieter. You do have that option. If I knew then what I know now I would of kept my money and gave it to someone else.
