This is a very nice CG. The sites have the widest pads I have seen. This park is off the main road so it is very quiet except the wind that always blows. The Sacramento River is just across the road and is beautiful. The only bad thing as stated before is the last 2 miles of road into the park. It is very bump and narrow. If you go very slow it works. We will stay here again.
This is a nice campground. We just stopped for the night, but would like to spend a weekend here. Sites are level and well spaced. The power output is clean. The staff heats the water so the ground pipes stay unfrozen. This area gets much colder than the local area because of its location in the valley. Not an issue for us. The access road in is fine, but was snow covered, so be prepared in the winter months. The only down side is that their bath house is closed during the winter. Would stay here again.
Camped over a 3 day weekend. The full hookup loop is the only one open in the winter. The park is very clean. The water is clean and the power was very stable. We hiked many of the trails and throughout the other loops. There are lots of deer and other wildlife to see in the park. You have to drive from the CG to the entrance of lighthouse trail. There is a great town just before you get to the park that has some great seafood. The road into the park is narrow and curvy but no problem if you take it slow. Will be back again for sure
