Camped the weekend here and was told I had the last spot available in the back of park, but counted over 10 unused all weekend. They no longer accept Good Sam Club. I also noticed numerous campers set up "long term" with hard piped sewer etc., most likely gas field workers. There were 2 dogs running loose and security, which came by every 20 minutes didn't seem to care. Nice staff & nice workers in the general store. While this is still an excellent park to go to for a weekend get away, I just didn't feel the atmosphere at the park was the same as in the past
We go to this park every year in October for the Red Fish run through San Luis Pass. The park is gated and on an island, accessed by a bridge. There are 3 piers and a lighted sea wall on the island for fishing from. You can walk along the beach and surf fish, or fish from the San Luis Pass Fishing Pier. There is a store nearby with all necessities. The park staff is very friendly and helpful.
We went to this park with friend to camp for a long weekend. The park was clean with paved roads and level sites with full hookups. There is a swimming pool and numerous activities for the kids and adults alike. There is also a store on site with limited items. This park is near Tyler Texas which has numerous attractions including a large zoo. We will definitely stay at this park again and highly recommend it to others.
We went here upon recommendation from a friend for a weekend getaway. You can dig for diamonds in the plowed field(you can bring or rent digging equipment). They have an on site water park, and a nature trail. Nearby you can fish Lake Greeson and the Little Missouri River. There is the KA-DO-HA Indian village and burial ground which is very interesting to visit. The sites were nice and shaded, the park as well as the showers and laundry's were nice and clean. The park staff is very helpful and can tell you about the attractions in the surrounding area.
This park is located on Grand Bayou Reservoir in coushatta, La. The sites are concrete and are level with paved roads throughout the park. There are 11 pull throughs and 43 back ins. They have a fishing pier, 2 lane boat ramp, and a swimming beach. It is a gated entry and they provide security on carts. They provide electric and water. No sewer connections but do have a dump station. There is excellent fishing on the lake, or 5 miles away on pool 4 of the Red River. We have camped many times at this park and continue to return for all of our weekend trips.
