This campground is on the banks of the Tennessee-Tom Bigbee waterway just north of Columbus, MS, adjacent to Columbus Air Force Base. All of the campsites have level concrete pads and paved drives. Interior roads are paved. There is lots of shade and plenty of room between most sites. Restrooms and showers were very clean. All sites have water and 50 amp service. I am not aware of any sites with sewer. We stayed in site 86 next to the waterway. Saturday morning temp was 43 degrees, Sunday morning was 39. There was a strong wind off the waterway so if you are not in an RV or spend time around the campfire, I suggest you use a site away from the water. We paid $9/night. That is the senior pass rate. I would recommend this campground to anyone, and will definitely stay here again.

I only rated park a 5 because the lake has a hole in the dam and the water was way down. Park is beginning to get run down: some of the roads are beginning to wash out and there are pot holes. I don't think they have enough staff or maybe money to keep park up. They just built a new swimming pool (nice) but I think they would have been better served to have spent the money on the camp grounds. I disagree with a previous post: our checkin was easy. Identified myself and went right in. I had used Reserve America. Would stay again but it's not my 1st or 2nd choice.

A very nice campground: stayed on #44. While the campground is large, there is lots of space. Rest rooms and showers were clean. It's very shady with easy access to the water. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a great campground: relatively new and clean, with lots of space between sites. Every space has a level concrete pad, with water and electric next to the pad. Friendly hosts and pet friendly. This is our favorite place to camp in North Mississippi: camped here 4 times this summer and we're going again Sept 25th. Nightly rate with National Parks and Federal Rec Lands Senior Pass is $9.00/night

This is a nice clean park. All roads are in good shape. Pads are level concrete. Lots of space between sites. Restrooms and showers were clean and modern. There is a nice swimming area on the lake. Would stay here again.

We camped here 2 nights. Loved the park, everything was clean and well kept. Easy walk to see the gorge which is a must see. Would have rated it higher except the campground hostess was not very friendly. Came by even before we were set up and said "keep your dog on a leash and walk it in the woods and clean up after it." She acted like I had never camped before and didn't know dog etiquette. Really turned me off.

This park is nice. We camped on a weekend that was full. The sites were very close, pads were gravel but level. It rained and the drainage was not good, lots of mud. We stayed in site #8. If you could get #18, that would be the best.

This is a state park that sits next to the spillway below the Grenada Lake Dam. It is an old park with lots of shade. Sites are close together. Pads are gravel. There are long runs to get to power/water. It is a "low" campground so when it rains many of the sites become flooded. With the close sites it is a very noisy campground. Lots of kids creating noise also. It is very secure, ranger and local police patrols frequently. This was our 1st time camping there and we are not into being that close with all the noise. Will probably not go there again.

This is a good park to camp. Had friendly staff, and the ranger patrols regularly. Had lots of space, level parking, electric and water was close. While it's an older par, the rest rooms and showers were clean. Will camp here again.
