Very tight fit for 40' motorhomes/RVs, very small sites and most of them not level. Seems to be built on layers and side of hill. Beautiful in the morning when it's quiet, right on the lake, and a few sites right on the beach, but you have to reserve well in advance to get one. We actually had to take two sites to accommodate a 37' RV (and they only charged for one site), very helpful office staff. It's a hidden gem, but you need a smaller unit to really enjoy it. Lovely walking trails. Lots of kids, nice playground.
Absolutely stunning. Huge campsites. Some sites separated by trees, giving you a very private spot. Beautiful pool, screened in to keep the bugs out, heated perfectly. Lovely hot tub, really hot!! Helpful staff, nice clubhouse. Quiet, restful and very, very clean. I could have stayed forever.
Pool was shut down for servicing for weeks, we cancelled one reservation, and a week later when we returned the pool was still not up and working. Very helpful reception and service staff. Small sites. Friendly.
Beautifully kept County Park, one of top 10 beaches, lovely big sites. Unfortunately, only one area is "dog access", so you are restricted as to what campsites you can stay in with a pet. Some of the branches are pretty low, we tore a roof vent off just driving down the road, and almost tore the a/c off backing into the campsite. Lots of mosquitoes. But the views and the relaxing atmosphere more than make up for it. Tried to reserve online when we got home for a return trip, but the "dog access" sites were not available. Would like to go back soon, it's beautiful, one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed in.
Very busy, reservations required in summer. Adult hours at the pool was a very nice touch. Unfortunately, the local gun club has a location within earshot of the park so if the firing of guns bothers you (or your dog, like mine - she reacted like fireworks and was scared the whole weekend) then don't stay here. Owners friendly, other campers very friendly. Gated, access card required.
