If you are looking for a campground in the North Miami, Hollywood, or Fort Lauderdale area this is by far the best place to stay. I needed to be in the area for an extended period of time and checked every place in the area and could not find anything else as good. If you are a resident of Dade, Broward or Palm Beach County the rate is $30.00; otherwise it is $40.00. Not cheap but it has a lot to offer. The actual park is quite large with lots of amenities including tennis courts, bike trails, basketball courts and the largest swimming pool I have ever seen except in a water park. The problem with the pool is that except in the summer it is only open on the weekends and there is an additional charge to use it. The comments regarding the train were not a problem for me. During the day I would hear the train go by but never even was aware of it at night. The entire park is immaculate including the bathrooms and showers. The wi-fi is free and the signal is fantastic. The sites are very large and level, and I can not see any problems even with the largest rigs. Very few shaded sites in the RV area even though the park is full of mature trees. It seems that when they built the RV area they cleared all the existing trees. For the most part this is a great place. It would be even better if they had cable but I do not miss TV very much.

I am only reviewing the campground just to clarify the information previously posted. We had spent some considerable time searching for a campground in the area to stay for about one month and because of the previous review, we did look at this one. It is certainly very nice and small. It is mostly for people who are camping with a boat. It does NOT have any public restrooms or showers for the RV area. No cable, no Wi-Fi. For us it was definitely overpriced for what they did offer. This is not a campground for those who want some typical RV facilities. It is a nice area for a large, self contained motorhome that has no need for any facilities.

I camped here for a few weeks and was given a daily price that is a bit less then most others who have reviewed this KOA. I think that this is about the best campground we have been at. The staff is great (and they are all over the place). It is a campground that has everything from two swimming pools, huge kids areas, pet areas and lots to do. During 4th of July week-end the KOA was completely full so the bathrooms and showers got a workout and still they managed to keep them fairly clean. There were a couple of times when they were overwhelmed and need several cleanings per day and the staff responded. We loved this place and really enjoyed our entire stay.

We stayed here on two separate occasions while travelling along the I-95 corridor. The grounds were clean and the sites easy to get to and level. Not much to complain about it is just that it is a pretty plain campground with nothing exciting about it and not much to do. Great place to stay overnight while travelling through.

This campground has much to be liked. It has gravel roads and sites, but the sites were very level, very large, and easy to back into. Many trees and quite hilly. The sites are almost terraced into the hills and there is a large distance between most sites. No one seems crowded. The temps were below freezing at night, but the bathhouses were all kept warm and comfortable. They were well kept and clean. The area is really nice and the grounds have lots of entertainment for kids as well as adults. Our only complaint was we could not get any wireless reception at our site but all we had to do was drive over to the office and had great reception. We would stay there again.

OK, I am giving this campsite a 10 right off the bat because they have one of the most fantastic Thanksgiving dinners anywhere. The owners supply the turkeys, hams, and pork and all the campers bring a covered dish or desert. This was our first time and there were almost 150 people at the dinner with enough food to feed twice that many. The owners are fantastic and really put in a lot of work to make this Thanksgiving dinner a real treat for all of us. Having said that, this campground is pretty good even without a Thanksgiving dinner. My only caveats are the bathrooms and the Wi-Fi. The bathrooms and showers are clean but they have something to be desired. They could use some improvement. The Wi-Fi is free and the owners will tell you that they are not responsible for it when it acts up. In our case we got good reception but it constantly cut out. Other then that you can read the other people's reviews and see that this is a great campground. We would go there again and I would encourage anyone to make advance reservations fro next Thanksgiving.

I stayed here for four nights while visiting friends. It was convenient and clean. As others have said all of the sites are fairly large, concrete and pull through. I had no problems with the leveling at my site and did not see any sites that were obviously not level. Several people have mentioned the closeness of the airport but I can honestly say that I was not bothered at all by the noise. The flea market next door was entertaining and fun for a few hours. There are not a lot of amenities other then the pool but for me, the main drawback of the park is that there are no trees or shade whatsoever. This was not a problem because the night time temps got down to the high 50's and the days were not oppressively hot. In mid summer this park has to be unbearable. To me it seemed that there were people from all over the country staying there and everyone, including management, were friendly. The park seemed very safe and I had no problems walking around in the evening. The bath area was OK. Clean, but not immaculate. The park is very convenient to the airport and is close to Yulee, Amelia and Fernandina. Overall it was comfortable for me and I would stay there again.

We were on our way to Florida from Texas and decided to do a stopover here. We liked the campground and the area so we stay a couple of days. This campground is true to its name as almost all of the sites are shaded by large, mature trees. The owner, Charlie, was great and he took time to show us on a map many things to do and see in Mobile. Our site was a pull through with gravel and it was level. Bathrooms and showers were clean and nice and the price is a bargain. If you are want to visit Mobile this is a good place to stay.

I read the review right before mine and I think we stayed at a different campground. This is about the best KOA I have ever seen and a great place overall. There are many facilities available on site that are all well maintained and the lake is pretty. Yes, the sites are a bit small but I had no problem and did not see anyone else that experienced problems because of the size of the sites. The sites I saw were concrete pads that were very level making it easy to set up. The people were nice and the on site store was well stocked. Bathrooms and showers were convenient and clean. The campground is very convenient for a stopover as it is right off I-10. We were on our way from Florida to Texas and would stay there again.

This is a nice KOA. It was quiet and generally clean. A nice couple owns the park and they are always on site and available, and they are nice and helpful. The real problem with this site is that there is nothing of real interest nearby. It is very close to the airport and that is a convenience for some. However, the neighborhood is basically industrial/commercial and does have some convenience stores and small drive through restaurants but it is not convenient to most of the things people probably go to see in Houston. We were visiting family in Houston Heights and it was the most convenient place for that. Overall, it is a nice camp but it is not a "destination." If I were going back for another visit I would stay there again. My biggest complaint was that Houston is hot in July and most of the sites do not have shade.

Starting in May I had some business in Big Pine Key that required that I be there for a couple of months so I decided it would be more convenient and cheaper to bring my trailer. I happened upon Breezy Pines and because it was the beginning of the slow, summer season I was able to rent a nice, shady spot for $650.00 per month including water, electric, cable TV and wireless internet. The wireless is very strong and the connection has been great. I find it to be a bargain for the Keys. This is not a luxury park but the sites that are available are fairly large, generally clean and quiet. The bathroom facilities consist of one ladies and one men's and each has two showers. They are fairly clean and they are not used a great deal because most of the people that are here are permanent or semi-permanent. The park is oin the process of attempting to convert the sites to condominium and they are trying to sell each individual sites. However, there are some sites that are empty and available. I have been here for almost three weeks and have had no real complaints. There are laundry facilities, a large club house and the pool is very clean and nice. I was very hesitant about staying here because the park had never been reviewed, but I am very satisfied. The location is great and the price could not be better and the management is always around to make sure everything is OK. An extra benefit is the park is in the middle of the key deer habitat and the deer just walk all around the park and will approach you without fear. This is the off season and things could be quite different in the winter. I would be certain that the park is full in the winter and that the prices are much higher. For me this was a nice find and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perhaps because we had fantastic February weather the entire time we were there, we really enjoyed this campground. The sites are pretty large and very easy to back into. Since the park is in the forest all of the sites are shaded which would be very important in Florida during the hot months. It seemed that they always had a schedule with something going on, i.e. glassblowing classes, bingo, pot luck dinners, live concert. The concert on Saturday night was a gospel quartet. I would normally not be interested but this group was very entertaining and good and we did enjoy it. Because there are lots of oak trees there were lots of fallen leaves, which did not bother us. Our only problem was the bathrooms. They were clean but there were only two bathrooms with showers; one for men and one for women. When they were in use they were locked so you needed to wait. There was a third bathroom facility that could be used, but no shower. Overall it was quite pleasant, the people very friendly and the owner was around to see if everything was OK.

We camped here over the Thanksgiving holiday, to visit friends. All of the roads are paved and the sites are all concrete and pull throughs. The problem is that the sites are very narrow and therefore are very close to each other. If you have a big rig with slides you will have some problems in that your slide will be over your neighbors campsite. Because we have a small (19') TT we did not have a problem but we did not like having people so close. The grounds are clean, the bath area is clean and well kept, and management was always on site. It seemed that most of the RV's were long term users but it did not have a trailer park feel or look. All of the sites were well maintained. They do not allow individual campfires but they have a community camp fire site that is always availaable for use. Since we were there over Thansgiving the management had a very large Thanksgiving dinner for anyone who wanted to come. We did not attend but we saw that most of the others did and it seemed quite nice. Comfortable and clean but sites are small. We would stay there again.

Of all the campgrounds we have stayed at this is our favorite. This is not an RV resort but is a rustic State Park that allows you to camp in a secluded area right on the river. All of the spaces are fairly shaded and are large. Even though we enjoyed the comforts of our TT we still felt like we were camping. Great area to walk and ride bikes and the bathrooms were clean. One word of caution; you are in the woods and there are lots of racoons. We made the mistake of leaving a cooler full of food out by the side of our trailer, and by morning everything was gone.

We stayed here for four nights and we enjoyed it. The campground has lots of activities including tennis courts, miniture golf, and a lake for swiming, fishing and kayaking. The grounds are clean and well managed. The entire campground is fairly hilly, and it would seem that larger RV's would have a difficult time getting to some of the sites. We had a very small TT so it was not a problem for us. All of the sites had lots of trees and shade. The on site store was well stocked and very convenient. There is also a small restaurant by the lake with a large deck that overlooks the lake. A very well run campground and we would stay there again.

We stayed here for several days to see the Glouchester area, and it is the only nearby campground. There is a great deal to like about this place and I would have given it a much higher mark but for the fact that the bathrooms and shower areas are terrible. The entire bath and shower area were infested with spiders and they are not well kept. The showers are coin operated and we could not get hot water. Because we choose to use the bathrooms and showers this is an important aspect for us and Cape Anne needs a lot of work. Having said that the area is great. The grounds are hilly and rustic and the sites are fairly large and in woods. The management could not have been nicer and were always helpful. Our site was at the very top of the hillside and at times we had no water pressure at all. But for the bathrooms it is a nice campground situated in a great area. I suspect that because they have no competition they are content to keep it the way it is.
