The March 2010 review is an accurate one. For us the location was ideal for a working trip in nearby Henderson. We enjoyed this park. Don't expect all the amenities and efficiencies of the larger parks. My rating of this park is based primarily on the setting. There are only a few sites, in a quiet country setting, secluded and set nicely in and around an old family tobacco farm. You can explore the log farm buildings. The owner is friendly and helpful. Our site was very nice. The pad was large and level but one bit of caution: the hookups were not placed in the usual left-center side, so you may need a bit of creativity. Our power cord just barely reached and we needed to use the sewer extension hose. There is a bed and breakfast here in case you want to meet friends or family.
Fast friendly check-in. Well kept, well laid out sites. Plenty of space and there are different lots to suit your liking. The views are great! We were here early August and treated to cool evening weather. Has a peaceful mountain setting. Price is a bit high ($50 includes taxes) but as we say, you get what you pay for. Did I mention the views are great? You'll be needing your your grill, wine, and lounge chairs.
The location is great especially if you are interested in historic sites or Shepherd University. here are some very good wineries a short distance away and connection to Metro. It is easy on/off the main road and nearby transportation to historic Harpers Ferry. There is an easy check-in with plenty of room to maneuver. There are many shady sites to chose from and a very nice pool with great views. This a family oriented campground but if you want a quiet spot just ask management. We arrived late but everything was ready and in the morning the staff was very helpful moving us to better spot. Bring your leveling blocks.
A great natural setting with fantastic views. Easy check-in up until 10pm. Very convenient pull-thru wooded sites. The sites have fire rings with sturdy grills for cooking your steaks! Firewood available for purchase. Note that there are no sewer hookups so plan accordingly.
A natural setting in a nice upscale Orlando location. Easy access to downtown, attractions, and major highways. We had an electric/water only site, with a nice level pad. Very tight maneuvering. I did appreciate having 24 hour access in a public park, but the combo lock on the gate was sort of a pain. But for the price, this is sure worth a try. Friendly, watchful, helpful staff.
Very clean modern park with large, shaded, private sites. Friendly, helpful staff and gated security. WiFi is $4 but works very well. Park is under expansion but there is no indication to campers. Great, clean, modern laundry and bath area.
Open beach-front sites. Park is OK but who cares, it is the fantastic ocean views that you pay for here! We backed right up to the beach! Convenient location and site was very easy to get in and out of. Nice quiet beach-front town. Can't comment much on facilities - we just spent our time enjoying the beach and the weather!
