When we called we were greeted by a voice on the phone that said to call the office when we got to the I-26 exit 28. I caled and they talked us in to the campground. There are signs on Interstate and on the road to the campground. It's about 2 miles from I-26. We were greeted by the owner, who checked us in very quickly. He then told us about the campsite and escorted us to the site. The bath house was spotless a looked brand new. If there were any problems it would the the road getting to the campground. Very steep little gorge and it's rough so go slow. I would come here again.
Nice quiet park in rural Florida. Clean restrooms and showers. Large picnic areas with pavilions. There is a beach with lake swimming. The sites are fairly level on sand or gravel. Larger units should use the Sandhill loop as the road through the loop is paved and the others are really wooded with gravel road access and are tight. Our cost was 10.00 per night because we are Florida residents and we are over 65.
The campground was sold. I could not find the new owners to get details. I do know the campground is currently closed. There is a sign for the bait store. I am not sure what the intent of the new owners is. I live close to this sight and will update when I get more Info
