ALERT...We were going to camp here and called when about 1/2 hour away. We got a message on their answering maching that they were out of business and a subdivision was being developed on the property. Please call before you go.
We found this campground to be very handy while visiting the State Capitol area. Campground is on a hill side but each site is very level and will accommodate large RVs. We were able to open our 3 slides but did not open the awning due to tree limbs. Each site has a covered picnic table, grill and fire pit. There are 17 sites plus a host. Rates are $14 for full hook up and $13 for electric only. Reservations can be made.
We camped here for a Rally event so I am not sure what a nightly rate would be. The camping area is a large grass field with hook ups at the back of each site. There was some rain a couple of days before we arrived and we got stuck when we pulled onto our site and had to be towed. Others got stuck when they were leaving 3 days later. Beware if it rains when you are here. Is very handy if you are attending the state fair or another event on the fairgrounds.
