Our second stay at this park. It is one of the newer parks in the New Orleans area and is gated. Had a river front site, very clean, sites well maintained and you are guided to your site. There is a shuttle service to downtown available at a minimum charge. Has friendly, helpful staff, good gravel level sites and roads, and is 5-10 minutes from downtown. Will stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.

Manager met us at entrance to guide us to site, very long level pull-through site, excellent hookups, great WiFi reception, park right on the lake. We had a great view of the lake. Too cold when we were here to explore around the campgrounds. This park is on our A list for returning.

Under new management. Cable TV at site but new manager wasn't aware, found out on our own. Absolutely no air TV reception. No Wi-Fi or modem connection. Park is being upgraded and signs of this are evident. At time we stayed the roads were in need of repair (paved with lots of pot holes), trees were is desperate need of trimming to keep off top of RVs, told Wi-Fi equipment had arrived but not installed, many vacant mobile homes in complex, other RV residents appeared to be workers on gas pipeline being installed along Rt 19. Before booking again at this park all improvements we were told would be made would have to be completed. Rate cited is Passport America rate.

Large level site for our 40' rig, high water pressure, 90 or so cable TV channels, excellent WiFi reception. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Park on grassy sand but no problem when it rained (heavily all one night), has good paved inside roads. Just off 441/27 but amazingly quiet. Plan to return again.

This park is now part of the Thousand Trails/Encore/MidAtlantic system. TT members can stay for the $3/night park fee only if they have an Elite Membership or purchase one of the new region memberships (about $500 for 12 months) through TT. If you are a Passport America member or other accepted groups you can camp at a discounted rate. However, you might not be able to use these discount memberships if you are a TT member with a lower level membership than the Elite. Wi-Fi is available at a fee through Tengo Internet. The park tends to get "soggy" with heavy rains as you are parked on grassy sand; be aware of this problem. The roads are paved but very narrow. Park is in two sections, with long-term campers in the back section with more amenities. No cable TV in the front short term section. This park, unlike the TT Resorts is not gated, thus, no security. Big clean laundry but costly $2/load to wash and $2 load to dry.
