A great Corp Of Engineers park, great price with senior pass. Park has a blacktop bike trail around the park, great riding. Park is beautiful, the power house tour is great. Sites are large and not close to each other. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. The only down fall is that there is only 2 showers in each of the two bathrooms, not much room for so many sites. I would stay here again, if I am ever in this area, just need to upgrade the shower situation.
Very nice Corp Of Engineers park. Clean bathrooms and showers. Easy bike riding, friendly rangers. Lots of fishermen there, seemed to be the ideal spot for that. Nice sites, and a nicely kept park. Would stay there again if I am ever in the area.
The park is alright for being very close to the Badlands, bathroom and showers were clean. Down side, no TV or Wi-Fi reception. But the upside, the manager was fantastic. We had a mechanical problem with our truck. I asked the manager if he knew where the closest Ford dealer was, he knew the the number off the top of his head. Said they are good people and will take care of you. I called them and they said to get the truck to them and they would get me in asap, so I told the manager what they said, I had booked for three nights, and had only been there one night, he said no problem, get your receipt and he would refund my other nights for me, WOW! No hassle, I couldn't hardly believe my ears. If I do go back to the Badlands, I would stay there again. Was treated very honest, something that doesn't happen often enough. And the Ford dealer, McKey, they were great also. Got me fixed and am on my way to Alaska.
I will say that the park was quiet, and the bathrooms very clean. On the down side, the WI-FI hardly ever worked and we were very close to the main office. SO, if your really needing WI-FI, this is not the place to be. My biggest complaint was the fact that the manager has 5 cats in her office. Was going to get myself a cup of coffee until I saw a cat sitting on top of the coffee maker (YUCK). I think that would be a health issue. Another issue was the fact that I had a electric extension cord plugged into the 110 socket. The manager told me that I was paying for 30 amp and that I needed to unplug it. I told her I cook outside and not in my camper, and that it is a 15 amp, and I was paying for 30 amp and that it is only used when I used the air conditioning. So that made me very unhappy. SO, I wouldn't stay there again, especially for health concerns!
