Went here when the price was reduced for the "off" season. A nice park but we have been to much nicer and far less expensive parks. $65 on season is ridiculous. It is clean and the senior citizen staff attentive. Over priced and nothing special. I believe this city owned park on a Corps of Engineers park takes advantage of its central Dallas/Fort Worth to overcharge customers.

Wonderful rural location. Far enough from Dallas/Fort Worth to make it a true out in the country experience. Friendly staff helps gets you in the spot of your choice but reserve early and get there early as the choice spots on the lake go very quickly. Weekends in season are full. Roomy spots but some are shorter than others. The office has a color photo of every spot making your choice easier. Very family friendly.

Would have been a 10 if the Wi-Fi was better. Used my Verizon 4G phone to tether the laptop. Spots are tight fitting but we were guided in by the friendly owner and assured our slides would be just fine....they were. Be advised that if you are a light sleeper the IH-10 traffic noise might bother you. It did not bother me.

This is, without a doubt, the nicest park we have ever visited. We were in a beautiful site that backed up to the lake. The park employees could not have been nicer. Most of the people here are snowbirds. We intend to come back.

Great place with great staff. Family friendly and safe. Not crowded. Spots are roomy. Each has a grill, table, water and electric. 50 amp spots are pull-through.

Wonderfully historic campground. Great employees and free ice cream. Very clean and well maintained.

Great place with wonderful owner. A busy park when we were there. Not far from the busy Union Pacific tracks so there are frequent horns. Did not bother me as I enjoy trains but you might not.
